WW2 Planes - What can we realistically hope for? (1 Viewer)

Been having a think about what WW2 aircraft we can realistically expect form K & C? I have many of the British and Germany aircraft, except for Typhoon, too expensive for me.

I do not see a twin engine aircraft, too complicated, heavy to make and transport, plus cost prohibitive. I would like a Mosquito and a ME110 but cannot see it happening.

There is a lot of talk of a Stuka and can possibly see it, but will be expensive and will the quality match Figarti? Others are hard to think of when looking at RAF of Luftwaffe aircraft, for Luftwaffe I would think we will see more ME109 and FW109 variants, would like to also see a Salamander HE162. Or Storch 156, cannot see much else except we need some Luftwaffe vehicles.

On the RAF front I can see more spitfires, always a seller, would like to see a Lysander but more complicated than the Stuka, maybe a Meteor.
USAAF – not my ‘bag’ so would not interest , but can very little there as well.

Have also seen the new WW1 aircraft so I think that is where the K & C aircraft is going in the near future.
How about anti aircraft guns, would be good to see, could be used in airfield and other dioramas.

Would think with all the RAF stuff a bofors gun should be coming. the dora as Neil mentioned but, think your right about the limited number that can be done in polystone. don't see anything bigger than a single prop fighter and, maybe a meteor jet sometime down the line. Hurricanes and Spits for late war and desert

A shot up spitfire would be good & from the look of the wounded pilot that's just been in dispatches I imagine we will get one eventually! Only other thing I'd like to see is some more Desert Air Force planes.

WW2 Planes - What can we realistically hope for? I completely agree with Mitch: K&C will only be able to do something bigger than a single prop fighter if it adopts materials other than polystone. That said, any single prop is technically feasible, limited only to market concerns. I think that in addition to new variants of what have already been released, new famous models such as a Zero, a Corsair, might do well, or maybe even a less celebrated P-39, an Italian Macchi or Russian Yak might sell although if released in smaller numbers. But the bottom line seems to be a logic business rationale: why risk if ME-109's, P-51's Spits and Hurricanes do the job?...
If new materials are used by K&C under a reasonable quality/cost combination, I wouldn't be surprised to see ME-110's, Mosquitoes and P-38's, which all seem to have a good market attraction.

If K&C were to produce a P-39 perhaps there might be a lend-lease variant with Russian markings?

The Corsair should be A-OK as K&C already produced one in polystone with its first generation releases inclusive of a Me-109.

There are just two aircraft that would be must haves for me ( actually ignore that its rubbish, there's probably about six^&grin). But two I'd really like to see, a Hurricane MkIID in Desert colours with under wing cannon and a Bolton Paul Defiant from the Battle of Britain. I 'm hopeful on the Hurricane but when talking to Andy he thought the Bolton Paul Defiant may be too expensive as its that bit bigger to produce. Apart from those two we then go into dream world because I'd love a Mosquito or a Beaufighter etc but they're very unlikely indeed.
