Hard decision time ^&confuse

I am going back in forth on should I get the FW092 - Kaiser Bill's Staffwagen or the RAF027 - RAF (blue & yellow) Fuel Truck ?

Both are needed for their respected diorama scenes - Buy both .... well could cause a divorce. ;)

What to do ??

Anyone else run into hard choosing between Ranges / Wars for your collecting priorities ???

Sure - Napoleon & Hitler fought 2 fronts and look what happen to them.

Fighting 2 World Wars - the odds are not good...

Easy...

only go for one primary range,

and when you have spare cash, or nothing from that range is on new release, then go for your second choice.

For me its NAPs first,
with WW1 Personality figures second,
and some colourful AWI third.

NOTHING ELSE !

Having seen your excellent collection of Spits and Huricanes Ron, I'd go for the Blue and Yellow Bowser. Will go very nicely with them and they need fuel!:wink2:

Cheers

Rob

Grab them both call her bluff on the divorce.....................{eek3}

:D:D

Yes do that Ron, because it sounds like Wayne has a spare room for you!^&grin:wink2:

Rob

Sorry Ron my house is a NAP free zone...................:D
(Joking John/obee i love NAPS really, just because im selling mine i still have a soft spot for em..........^&grin^&grin)

Get both...life is short,then you die...(Dempsey & Makepeace)^&cool

Ron,

Depends what you like. My sense is that you dabble in WW II but like WW I. I don't know if this important to you but the blue and yellow fuel truck did not make its appearance until after WW II. The other color schemes work but not this one.

both were not in WWI or WWII we had the debates about both. So, just get them both if that does not bother you. for the price of both combined I would not think this would be the reason for divorce

Not wanting to reignite another debate but it seems the staff car was more likely than not in WW I based on the evidence that Terry and I gathered from the Mercedes archives.

I must have missed that. I thought the debate ended with they were in use but, not this release. I know HK mailed me with that some artistic interpretation had been used on the model. I must say, that I have two WWI sets and, this is one of them and, its a nice piece irrespective of the debate.

I don't have the Staff Car but saw it in a friend's house and it's a very nice piece indeed.

Ron, it's WW1 all the way. A dio with Kaiser Bill visiting the aerodrome of von Richthofen's Travelling Circus, with all the General Staff and the canvas falcons in the scene, would be superb. -- Al

Two beautiful cars, difficult choice, but my favorite is dark blue world^&cool.

That would depend on a number of factors. Who has greater income? Is there a prenup agreement? Are there children involved? Have you been married for >10 years? What would add more value to your life; another year with this person or two K&C trucks? Not knowing your situation, I am predisposed to the two trucks

My dear Capitolron, I hope you have internet access and can read this reply whilst serving out your banishment on Elba for being a naughty internet despot! :wink2: Ofcourse your choice is quite clear, the fuel bowser is the obvious choice hands down! In all seriousness you raise a good point about how hard it is to make choices between competing lines. Figuring out my needs over my wants is always a terrible battle and are decisions I constantly struggle with. I wish it was so easy as to be between 2 competing lines but alas that is not the case for me. I love history in general and therefore have many varied collecting interests. I have tried to focus mainly on Napoleonics, Crusaders and certain battles in WWII represented by the FOB, RAF, BOB, D-Day, WS series and one other that comes to mind....can't remember.....something to do with a bridge.......oh well it'll come to me later. Other lines I like unfortunately get only a token representation and that's the best I can do with limited resources of money and space. Well I'm only allowed a bried few minutes to correspond with you so I hope your pursecutors show some mercy and allow you a few K&C soldiers to play with while enjoying your daily ration of bread and water. {sm3}

LOL :D - my exile has been merciful and I am barred from just a couple of threads which I invaded with harmful intent.

I fully accept that I was rampaging at will and my actions had to be confronted by forces greater than mine. Only If NEY hadn't destroyed my Calvary !!! :wink2:

I made my decision and went with buying the FUEL TRUCK for now. I think that I really want to make a concerted effort to keep up with my RAF Collection and releases. Also, the BLUE & YELLOW Fuel Truck is limited - that kinda push me as well. Too many times I have said - "Oh, that will still be around later" and it turns out not to be ! So - FUEL for the RAF boys is on its way.

However, I do still want to get that German Command Wagon soon. I think it would make a nice diorama with my WWI Planes !

Thanks to all who have posted and look forward to discussing more Toy Soldiers (not with Bridges ^&grin) again soon.

I'm with Brad get the Mickey Mouse fuel truck, I for one would not be seen dead with the blue and yellow fuel truck in my WW 2 diorama
when it a 1950 version but maybe that just me want :rolleyes2:
