WWII D-day and Bastonge (2 Viewers)

I can't decide if I want to continue with Bastonge, or start working on D-day? In Bastonge I have about 75 sets, but in D-day I have only 7 sets. I'm not sure if should continue making Bastonge even better, or start working on D-day?

WWII addict,
Do like me and concentrate on the two battle fields.It only started snowing in the Ardennes around the 20th of december. Lots of BoB figurines, not dressed in snow camouflage, can be used in other battle fields and places for example the battle around Aachen, Hürtenforest, Rhine . And also Normandy figurines can be used in scenes later in the war.

Welcome to the forum. It looks like you have a good BOB collection. Forget the range terminology and don't segregate your figures especially, the german WWII forces into such restrictive groups. As has been mentioned german troops wore all sorts of camo gear in both sunshine and winter and, often more camo pattern was worn than pure white so, enjoy mix and match and relax the manufacturers terminology as often its not always helpful or correct.

I myself collect both ranges and have many sets from both, buy what you like the look of and what catches your eye, that way whatever route your collection takes you know it'll be full of stuff you really wanted.

While concentrating on one range, especially if you are a completist, can be rewarding, for me personally it gets boring after a while. Diversify - it is more fun and keeps the juices flowing.

The only limit to collecting toy soliders is running out of space to put them , the longer you collect the larger your range will expand from BB to all theaters of battle .

Ah you forgot the omnipotent spousal unit (wife, gf) the ultimate limiter in my experience.

I'd stay with Bulge and hock those DDay sets on ebay to pay for more Bulge sets. I advise everyone these days who are getting into KC, especially in ranges with AFVs to consider- and both the US and Germans had em in the bulge and DDay ranges, to focus on making one really really commanding diorama. Prices are making more than one collection difficult.
