WWII winter dios (1 Viewer)

Here's a few scenes of my K&C collection. Trying to use some of the JG Miniatures scenic snowflakes for effect. I used it sparingly. Not sure if I have the hang of it.

Nice collection. It's amazing how by using straight forward diorama bases they really put our collectibles in the proper context and highlight and show them off even more brilliantly.

Great dioramas! Love that JG company! Tell me, how did you photograph these so that the background is all dark, while the scene is forthright and briliant?

Mike, to answer your question about the photos, I place the dio base on my dining room table which is a dark stained wood, I turn out the lights in the dining room, but have low level indirect light coming in from the next room so the dining room is not completely dark. Then just take the picture with a flash. Neither the dining table nor the walls of the room show up in most of the pictures. I kind of came across this process by accident, and after seeing the results, decided to take them all this way. I like it as it lets you focus on the models themselves. Just my preference I guess.
