230 years ago on October 19th, 1781 the Battle of Yorktown came to an end and effectively won the war for the 13 colonies. In commemoration of that battle, I put together some scenes using my W Britains Yorktown collection.

Thanks for posting these pics. I really like the set-up you have here.

I just started reading a book called Guns of Independence, which is about the Siege at Yorktown. It is fun to see some pics covering the very thing I'm reading about!

REALLY nice Redoubt and figure set up! I was at the 200th Yorktown and was on the recieving end of the American light infantry attack in the reenactment. Scarey that that was 30 years ago.

Hey RWB-

If you ever head south on I-81 and come through Carlisle Pa, take a moment and go to the Army War College, Military History Center- they have a wonderful hinking trail with a full size AWI Redoubt- I believe they patterend it after Redoubt #10- they have two mortar emplacements and all the stakes sticking out and stuff. Really a fun time. Must have been BRUTAL trying to scale those walls!!
