YOU ARE INVITED! Weekend of August 4th (2 Viewers)

Now the photos are too small and dark. I have no idea how they came out that way, but I had to change them from the already reduced size of 640 pixcels (which made the photos from 126 to 100 KB) to 600 pixcels which got them in under the 97.5 KB maximum. I think I will try photobucket and see if it is any easier and better.

I though I would try again to see if the photos turn out any better.

Michael….Wow!!!

Simply stunning, great pictures; love the forts, castles, planes, etc. Send these pictures to Shannon to be posted in the Gallery so they don’t get lost in time in these threads.

Great job again,

Carlos

Thanks for posting latest batch of Mr. Walker's collection. Everything he collected is amazing. Was Mr. Walker a dealer to acquire such a collection? Leadmen

Thanks for posting latest batch of Mr. Walker's collection. Everything he collected is amazing. Was Mr. Walker a dealer to acquire such a collection? Leadmen

Bob started collecting as a youngster and never stopped, like most of us did. He ran a company called Valhalla Miniatures for years which sold castings he made. I have been told that it was the largest such company in the U.S. at one time. Bob and I both like Hiriart toy soldiers. We argue who owns the most sets, we both have about 75 sets in our collections, but he has a number of double sets which I do not, so I think he is the winner. I have a 75 set order pending with Hiriart (which has not been started yet) of which 39 sets are for me and 29 are for Bob and the balance are for other collectors. I have no idea where I going to put mine, but Bob is having a Tuff Shed built on his Southern California property for his new figures.

Thank you for the information Mike. I find the pictures amazing. What a house and the way everything is organized. Your pictures are nice. Did you try photobucket? or doing something different? Leadmen

I tried photobucket, but couldn't get it to upload correctly, It kept giving me an error message saying that it was an invalid file. The file I copied and pasted on my desktop would be something like "Bob Walker SJ 017," yet when I opened it on the forum it would open as described, but upon uploading it would say file "Bob#*&S@+" or something like that was an invalid file. I gave up and I am now using Adobe Photoshop on my wife's computer.

Here are some more photos from the Main Display Room.

Photo one: Ethiopian Pack Mountain Artilllery from the 1936 Italian invasion.

Photos two & three: From left, Albanian Infantry, unknown unit, and Swiss Infantry.

Photo four: Sailors & Royal Marines.

Photo five: Various Danish troops.
