your collection....How much does it cost? (1 Viewer)

Hey Mike...Can you please explain just what disposable income is??....And more important "where do you find it"???.

Steve

Hi Steve,

I am assuming you are joking, but it is any money I have left over after paying all my bills each month that I decide to spend on toy soldiers rather than a mistress. In the past, my wife has said that a mistress would be cheaper. It is difficult to find---keep looking.

But...... you can always touch and grab your TS collection time and time again, free of charge.......{sm2}

I don't think naming people is very correct or, professional. Why should he be bricking it?? you speak as if he is doing something wrong. I have not come across this outlet as I have not had much to do with e-bay at all and, happy that is the case. He/she may be absolutley Bona fide.

HMRC have historically undertaken extremely large projects on certain professions where it is guarenteed that the yield will be high. In the five years leading up to the fiscal year 2010/11 HMRC lost 30,000 staff and these projects were shelved until further notice. We previously went to town on the likes of subcontractors, market traders and the largest project in recent memory focused on taxi/mini cab drivers because we know the retention of records in all of these professions is generally inadequate.

Now HMRC is going to crack down on ebay trading in a project that is unparalelled. The Treasury wants their cut. If I were the guy trading as I.C. Toys on ebay I'd be bricking it!!!

Wayne,

No one can top that. Well said/done sport. In short, for me...my collection is the source of my sanity which has a value I probably can not fathom.

Hang Tough,
Marc

Well said as well Marc. My collection gives me my stress relief tonic although i wish those little buggers would stop their endless chatter at night so i can get a wink of sleep!!{eek3}:rolleyes2:^&grin

After giving up smoking, drinking and women giving me up this hobby is my only pleasure and it is without doubt cheaper than all three combined, and TS don't give me any grief.....{sm3}:rolleyes2:
Wayne.

In addition to the money spent on buying the sets, you have to consider the insurance, display cabinets and the space unless you leave them in their boxes stored away which seems to defeat the purpose. Tommy

Maybe £15,000? Give or take? :/:redface2:^&grin

I also do re-enacting which since summer 2010 all in, kit, accomodation, fuel costs has cost about £7,000 Oh My God...but then got £400 on Friday for some filming we done!^&grin:wink2:
