Not a word of a lie.
I'm sitting in my hotel bar/restaurant doing this. When the penny dropped as to what TN was on about, the resulting spray of electric soup and general hilarity had all the other patrons of this fine establishment turn to stare at the crazy honkey.
Granted, I ought not to have used the word bumpkin cos TN's a looooooot bigger than me, and he still has his mitts on my TRL order, but it was the only one out of several words passing through my mind that I stood a chance of getting away with.

Never mind, I should be going offshore next week. Everyone will get a bit of peace then (maybe), including the patrons of this fine establishment.

I hereby, and under no duress, offer my most grovelling apologies to Tony for calling him a bumpkin.

Actually, I am doing this under duress. The thought of getting into a scrum with him brings a tear to my eye - but even more important than that - please don't melt down my TRL order - please, I'll try to be NICE.

I've absolutely no idea why someone would want to use a photo of me as their avatar (?) Tony. Would the real Mr Dave please step forward and explain.
Not as if I'm some 6 foot tall bronzed Adonis.
Oh, that rather forward young lady with the "interesting" upstairs and downstairs has just sat down beside me again. Thank goodness she didn't decide to sit on my knee this time.
