hello all, i was curious, if you had to pick one piece of all your k&c collection to be your most favorite what would it be??? mine being the german winter 88 gun, followed close second the winter tiger,but yes i love them all!!!!!!...sammy

For me at the moment , it would be Richard the lion heart .
I had no real interest in this series ,but thought that piece
looked pretty cool ,so dipped my toes in and have no regrets
about entering this range as every piece has exceeded
my expectations.

Picking my favourite Model that was made in China isn't too difficult. Here it is scanned straight out of the magazine from the last photoshoot;
PS. I'm off to K&C in Pacific Place in around ten minutes from now. Shall report the results of my recce in due course.

This is a fun thread because it is hard to pick a favorite. For me (retired) it is The West TW018 - Mounted Sgt. Firing Pistol (Andy and crew got this one dead on, as this trooper is dazed, fighting at close quarter and surrounded). Best for the money, Remember the Alamo RTA029 Advancing Mexican for $19 ( the sculpt, the detail, the paint and that long bayonet poised to run through some brave Texian). Finally, recent release is MK08 Knight with sword and crucifix (this figure sums up the entire crusades... by God we are taking this land back!!). HMMM - No WWII on the list - imagine that.

I think you mean MK03. It's one of my favourites too.

K & C have produced some terrific pieces over the years and overall they get better and better. The 88 mm gun and Winter Tiger do enjoy high resale values in the collecting community. However imo these two fall short in accuracy and detail compared to more recent sets from other companies, but of course polystone does have its limitations.

The K & C piece I most often pick up for a closer look is their Afrika Korps Motorcycle combo (AK035). It's a terrific motorbike with two figures in classic AK action pose.

Anything from the fall of berlin range, standout figures/building , great action poses and sculpting , and of course the russian chic directing the traffic

Dunno Rob2,
I've just spend almost HK$7,000.00 - and its all SOHK stuff for Missus Heid. Apart from the Bombay and Bengal Lancer Collectors Club figures - they're for me. But all's well in my world cos I'm catching a ferry over to Shenzhen tomorrow afternoon so's I can pick up the Crimea Set 2 which I had K&C UK send to my company's South China office.
Guess another over-limit luggage payment is on the cards when I check in for my flight up to Dalian on Saturday....

My Favourite K&C Model Figurine is the Collectors Club Flashman. And as soon as K&C bring out Flashy on a horse with a terrified look on his face....It'll become my new Favourite..!!

My favorite piece is the sandbagged sherman with that Patton figure. I also dig my Normandy Panther. I feel the tank crews on all these K&C armor pieces are so good, they give these tanks that little extra presonality.

I've given this one some thought. I think that K&C shine when it comes to cavalry. The Sculpting of the horses is fantastic. The Scots Greys and the Crimea charges are fantastic, but I cannot choose one piece as they are magnificent as a group. So to pick one horse soldier as my favorite, I have to choose Joan of Arc. This figure on horseback is, in my opinion, one of K&C's best. I have to thank Louis for this , as I first saw the piece at his home and immediately ordered one of my own.
