Your first K&C purchase of 2012? (1 Viewer)

My first purchase for 2012 will be renewing my Collectors Club membership this week. Following that, I'll save until June and await news of any developments re the Pirate Junk that Andy talked about around the time of the Chicago show last year. I'm also hoping that K&C may consider a WW1 Rolls Royce Armoured Car (or similar) to compliment the ALH and hinted Lawrence of Arabia/ME series. If that comes about (it seems to be a logical addition... but at this stage also just wishful thinking on my part) I'll definitely be grabbing the ALH Heliograph set and Aussie staff officer. And if, by June, there's no word on the Junk or no hint of a possible AC in the pipeline for release at some stage during 2012, I'll be using the money to fund a trip to North Korea in the spring of 2013.

So, it's going to be a very disciplined approach to my spending this year. Hopefully my willpower is strong enough to resist temptation as the new releases (from all the K&C series... as well as some other manufacturers, such as TG and JJD) are just so good. But, that's the plan.

I agree an Rolls A/Car would be a great addition to ALH range, i have built a 1/35 plastic RODEN kit but the scale is no good for ALH, speaking of Lawrence, Thomas Gunn is about to put out a nice set - keep an eye out for it. My fist K&C for 2012 the new ALH sets - all very nice indeed.

I went a bit overboard on a visit to San Antonio and that shop across the square from the Alamo (which I shan't name out of deference to our hosts) and came away with a little bit of everything- FW072, RTA050, AL024, AL016, SOE004(G) and the great Texas Ranger Special figure. May be my last purchase for a fair bit, but a good way to kick off 2012.

Well it sounds like lots of you guys were up and running early this year. My next purchase will be the bomb Disposal Tilly and some of the figures that go with it. I can then post pics of my dio I've built for them. Keep your 2012 purchases coming chaps.^&cool

With 2012 only three hours away (in my part of the world anyway)and the first Dispatches of 2012 approaching at warp speed, do you guys have any plans for your first purchase of the new year? I will be starting with a small order for the good folk at K&C UK and just getting two new figures on tuesday, the new FOB British Policeman and also the Tommy on guard, these will fit nicely into a dio I'm working on at the moment. So what will have you reaching for the order button early doors 2012 guys?

When you wrote the above new Thread for 1 January 2012 and beyond I did indeed have no plans for buying anything from anybody in 2012. However, in the past few days I got delivered via an eBay deal a K&C set# NA192 "Campfollower" for my History of the French Army 1800-1815 diorama which I have posted at the Forum. Then just yesterday, I purchased via eBay the K&C "Stray Dog" (HK set# HK177?) for my Streets of Old Hong Kong display. Gee, I wonder what else I do not plan on getting that I will end up getting in 2012, ha, ha. In any case, my wife can not say I am spending too much money on my hobby so far this year at least, ha, ha. I am glad I started buying toy soldiers/military miniatures in December 1991 rather than December 2011 as now all my pre 2008 K&C sets and others seem like real bargains Vs late 2011 prices!
