Well - I will have to wait on my MG Sports Car - it came today from Treefrog with several broken pieces :(

I have emailed Julie and I guess we will try again - sigh.

Well i just got the message that Werner Molders just landed my BF 109 in my favorite Toy Soldier shop in Holland!!...and not only that he also managed to bring along those 2 rather nice Re-fueling carts...(is"nt one of those carts a starter accu???) So anyhow those are my first purchases for 2012..

My first purchase for 2012 will be renewing my Collectors Club membership this week. Following that, I'll save until June and await news of any developments re the Pirate Junk that Andy talked about around the time of the Chicago show last year. I'm also hoping that K&C may consider a WW1 Rolls Royce Armoured Car (or similar) to compliment the ALH and hinted Lawrence of Arabia/ME series. If that comes about (it seems to be a logical addition... but at this stage also just wishful thinking on my part) I'll definitely be grabbing the ALH Heliograph set and Aussie staff officer. And if, by June, there's no word on the Junk or no hint of a possible AC in the pipeline for release at some stage during 2012, I'll be using the money to fund a trip to North Korea in the spring of 2013.

So, it's going to be a very disciplined approach to my spending this year. Hopefully my willpower is strong enough to resist temptation as the new releases (from all the K&C series... as well as some other manufacturers, such as TG and JJD) are just so good. But, that's the plan.

For me it is this beauty, a 17th Lancer from K&C's Crimean War series. I have fallen in love this smaller range of which there seems to be few collectors. I think the sculpting and painting is of a higher standard than any other of K&C's ranges, maybe it is because this range is a UK exclusive range? This piece will sit beautifully with my other Crimean mounted figures forming my very own 'Charge Of The Light Brigade'!

It's a great series and a pity that it's ended. It was a pretty hard decision for me not to buy the bugler and flag bearer to fit into my Charge dio (below). I don't think that you'll regret your purchase.

Great photo Jules!

I already have another lancer, Lord Cardigan and Captain Nolan and plan to add a few more pieces to the charge. I will likely get the bugler but not the flag bearer as in my research, in no engraving or drawing from the time or after have I seen a flag bearer in the charge.

Chris...

This is a great figure and, its a shame the series ended. Great pick up

My first K&C Purchase for 2012 satisfies my collecting themes.

NAPOLEONIC ARTIILLERY
RHA Gun in Action NA201, with RHA Officer NA200
