Your Scarriest Movie or TV episode (1 Viewer)

My scariest moments are turning on the TV and seeing Obama's latest song and dance, then realizing that he may win!

Actually the original "The Thing" was very well done in suspense and action. "The Exorcist" creeps me out because I think there really is evil out there working against good. Spielberg's original "Jaws" was a powerfully scary movie - excellent movie making and story telling.

greetings- this movie is a bit out of genre, but i find "Conspiracy", with Tucci and Branagh to be the scariest and most horrifying historical episode on film. it is so well acted and written it makes one ill. "One meeting. Six million lives."

- Carpenters 'the Thing'
- Alien trilogy (the first three, not the fourth)
- 'the Shining' (Kubrick)
- Ooh, and Predator (the first)
- Zombie films, the 'Dawn of the Dead' remake is very entertaining.

And I highly recommend 'Event Horizon'. Besides dazzling sets the acting and story is excellent. Very very underrated scifi horror. Trust me, if you like the genre you should give it a shot.

I don't like slasher movies. Just tasteful gore with a good story.

The View......every time Joe Behar opens her mouth!

What,no American werewolf in london? The yorkshire pub scenes make me laugh, there not far from the truth:)
"Dart Player: Stay on the road. Keep clear of the moors.
Chess Player: Beware the moon, lads. "
"Dart player ,you made me miss,i never miss!"
plus the joke about the mexican and the alamo:D
I remember seeing the film aged about 13 or 14 and it scared the pants off me and then when we used to go walking in the yorkshire dales, and believe me its no fun being lost and having watched this film:eek:
Also so Dog Soldiers is in a similar vain.

Werewolf in London also had the lovely Jenny Agutter in it;)

For all you Zombie fans can you remind me of the film featuring the following scene?.Two people hiding in loft,Zombie on step ladder saying 'i know you're up there i can smell your brains'!.When Zombie finally breaks in they explode a grenade.Never forgot the scene but can't remember title???

Superb film, both riveting and stomach turning at the same time.

Probably my scariest experience was watching Friday the 13th when I was 13 years old. I knew Jason was going to come out of the water but that scene paralyzed me all the same.
But as for great horror flicks my favourites would be
-'The Thing'
-'Alien'
-'the Shining' (Kubrick) (it has to be the best of all!)
-'Night of the Living Dead' and 'Dawn of the Dead' the original and re-make
-Wolf Creek
-The Ring (Japanese)
Not scary but love Evil Dead 2 and Army of Darkness.

I think that was Return of the Living Dead (the first in the series).

I know this isn't a movie or TV episode but "The Mother-In-Law is coming to stay" was the most scarriest moment in my life  :D :D

Jeff

Scarriest thing I've ever seen on TV was Hughie Green on Opportunity Knocks.
Or Bob Monkhouse on The Golden Shot. Know where I would've aimed that crossbow.
Updating to the present day; there is that contradiction in terms, the Celebrity Chef  Bloody Nonentity Cooks, more like.
Then there's that Dale Winton - eeeuuuurrgh...!!!
Jeremy Clarkson - now there's a real man......

Yo Jeff my mate used to call his mother-in-law the Excoset (missile). I said why do you call her the Excoset, he said you can see her coming and there is F--- all you can do about it lol.
Bernard.

Yo Heid can beat that, Braveheart, when the Scots were about to do battle with the English, and they tuned around and lifted their Kilts, man that was one scary moment lol.
Bernard.:D

It was an early example of phychological warfare Bernard. The crafty Scots knew the effeminate English shirt-lifters would be so jealous, distracted and intimidated, it would subsequently be dead easy to bash their brains out. :D:D:p:p:p

Cheers

Scaryest for me was the end of Carrie, I had a basketball injury, turned ankle, and was on crutches in a full 2000 seat cinema (remember them?)

I still ended up four rows back screaming with everyone else......

I think Wolf Creek has been the scariest film I have seen in years, possibly ever!
