The set was made by Gainsborough Miniatures in England many years ago. Now my set has a particularly interesting history, I found it advertised for sale in Texas , USA. After I bought the set it was shipped to my friend Teddy (nap10) in New York and he arranged the shipping to the UK for me

I have a few trains! The Gainesborough Set is my favorite and was happy too when I found it. i also have the wooden Hicks Atwell train that was sold by Jim H (US Toy Soldier Museum) with trophy figures, but mine I believe is the "Sudan Theater" version
