I recently missed an auction for this rare Trophy Van Gogh figure—by a nose! I don’t know the catalog number for it, but I suspect it might be part of the Elite range. If anyone knows the number, please let me know.

And if you happen to have one and are willing to part with it for a fair price, just let me know!

Wow Al! I've never seen that figure before! Now, as a huge art history buff I will have to go hunting for it!

This is a new one on me. Probably a special commission. Went pretty cheap too.

If anyone has one they’d like to sell, please send me a pm.

That is a great little figure! In the very few random items I'd keep if I found...he would be one!

It wasn’t a special commission, but rather a limited issue like the NYC Fireman. I’ve seen a few of them in the past, but they’ve eluded me so far. I’m glad you all liked the figure—but I’m afraid I may have opened a Pandora’s box, and now my chances of getting one through the forum are zero! :)
That said, I have my own channels—let’s see who finds another one first!

It’s a nice figure and would be nice to have but not essential. Having the books on Impressionism from Taschen and Musee d’Orsay are more important.

Thanks Martyn, and I join in Brad's question: did Trophy produce figures of other artists, and if so, do you know anyone who has any Trophy artist figures for sale?

Thank you, Martyn. I’m not aware of any other great artist figures in the series, though Trophy did produce a generic artist figure in the Civilians range.

I would be the proud owner of Van Gogh and ...........Nope, not for sale! Same seller also had the Winston Churchill figure from Red Box depicting him in retirement painting (a hobby of his), so it became a twofer!
