N.F.L. 24-25 Season (2 Viewers)

I am happy for George and will be cheering for the Patriots the same way he has supported my teams in the past few years.
Thanks to you, Mike Miller and Tom Dubel for the congrats, much appreciated.

This is surreal, just can't believe it.

You can't make this stuff up:

"As Bad Bunny prepares to headline the Apple Music Super Bowl halftime show at Levi's Stadium on Feb. 8 in Santa Clara, California, the Puerto Rican superstar has partnered with the NFL to release two limited-edition, history-making merchandise collections.

The star of the first collection is the "concho," the Puerto Rican toad that has become a mascot for Bad Bunny's music and his merchandise.

The "Super Tazón" collection is scheduled to become available on Feb. 8 shortly after the halftime performance and feature merch that reimagines the term "Super Bowl" in Spanish."

I heard Green Day will also be part of the halftime show; why don't they bring Bruce Springsteen in for the trifecta...................

laughing. Green Day is a good band, I flew on a flight to Orange County California with Billy Joe in the seat in front of me, Jim Palmer behind me, crazy flight. Billy Joe is about 5ft 3, Palmer 6ft 5. Funny contrast as I was getting on. Both actually very nice people, said hello to everyone. I got Billy's autograph for my son and Palmer for me!

They have always been an outspoken band, I try to just listen to the music and ignore the noise, but Springsteen makes that hard, I have always labeled him a talented entitled Pri**k. I really don't care about their views, they are free to express them, I do think it is bad business on their part. I have never known anyone say, "Hey let's go to a concert so we can get into a political debate".......................End of day, I just ignore it. Now, Bunnyman is a different story, I can't stand his music and his outspokenness to me is offensive, so I will be hitting mute or eating at that time.

It's hard for me to understand why artists with primarily blue-collar fans like Bruce Springsteen and Howard Stern have decided to alienate them by interjecting political commentary that at least half of their fans don't support. I was reading recently about Howard Stern's reaction to the Bernie Goetz vigilante shooting 40 years ago in NYC suggesting he be given the Congressional Medal of Honor. Contrast that with the Howard Stern of today.

Bill Belichick:

Most Super Bowl wins as a head coach -
Most Super Bowl appearances as a head coach -
Most playoff wins as a head coach -
Most playoff appearances as a head coach -
Most divisional championships as a head coach -
3rd all-time in wins-

- Not a 1st Ballot HOFer

He obviously pissed off a lot of people.

He obviously pissed off a lot of people.
So that's a reason to not let him into the HOF; pure nonsense.

I'm not a fan of Belichick the further he's in my rear view mirror, he let the GOAT walk and benched our starting CB in the Iggles SB that cost the Patriots the game, but this is sheer lunacy on the part of the voters.

Shula with his 2 SB wins was a first ballot hall of fame coach who purposely left the tarp off the field the night before the 1983 AFCCG vs the Jets in a monsoon to muddy the field and slow down the Jets "Sack Exchange" front four.

And Belichick is not a first ballot hall of fame coach with 4 times as many SB wins?

His defensive game plan vs the Bills in the 1990 SB is in the Hall of Fame.

And he's not.

Talk about petty, naturally that POS Bill Polian is the guy behind this, he's going to get roasted and rightly so.

Paul Hornung and Alex Karras were both suspended for the 1963 season for gambling and it hurt both their HoF cases despite Hornung being an MVP and the key man in the Packers offense during the Lombardi years and Karras being an 9 time All-Pro. They made Hornung wait almost 20 years and didn’t put Karras in until 2020, almost 10 years after he died.

He should have been banned by the NFL for multiple instances of cheating. He was caught red handed. Finally being held accountable. His Super Bowl "wins" are all just ***.

You can complain all you want but that’s probably the reason, not to mention the Spygate matter and bending the rules and whatnot. Does that mean he’s not going to get in? Of course not. He’ll probably be admitted next year.

Right, they'll keep him out for a year so he does not get the honor of being a first ballot hall of fame inductee.

They really showed him who's boss.

And that's the hill you're going to die on.

Don't ever change, we love you just the way you are.

Yes, I think they’re doing it to embarrass him and deny him the honor of being a first round inductee. I think it’s stupid but when it comes to football and the way they run things it’s political. If this was baseball, he would have been in.

They should change it to "The football hall of friends."

Jimmy Johnson, JJ Watt and Patrick Mahomes among others are not happy.

It's petty and pathetic.

I agree. It is pathetic. The way they do voting at the football Hall of Fame has struck me as odd.
I'll expect the same thing the first year Brady is eligible; you know, to teach him a lesson and show him who's boss.

And you are spot on; doing a deep dive into how they actually vote, it's beyond odd.

And L.C. Greenwood is not in the HOF?

He has passed away, so what's the point now?

I was just going to post this - how is LC not in? Mean Joe has asked the question for years to no avail. Look at what baseball did to Dave Parker. Look at the Rock Hall of Fame to Ozzy as a solo artist, took til his death bed and Iron Maiden is still not in. It is always an unfortunate clique no matter what the sport or discipline.

Iron Maiden not being in the Rock and Roll HOF is beyond embarrassing, yet rappers and Dolly friggin Parton are in?

An 8 time SB champion is not in the HOF; IF you want to throw out 2001, 2003 and 2004, then go right the fvck ahead, he's STILL got 5 more.

The whining about spygate is beyond pathetic at this point, talk about petty and small minded.

Just ask Jimmy Johnson.

Jimmy Johnson coached the single dirtiest college football program in all history. And that is saying a lot. No wonder he doesn't want anyone held accountable. The three seconds that I've spent thinking about Belicheat are three too many. He is no longer relevant. The Pats currently have multiple players under investigation for domestic abuse, strangulation and other misconduct. Still being allowed to play. But we are supposed to cry salty tears over Belicheat? He's the victim.

Saying you've spent three seconds thinking about Belichick has to be THE funniest thing you've said on this forum.

Your raging hard on towards all things Patriots is truly gold standard worthy, friends of mine from a Boston based sports forum have come here read some of your posts; you are literally a legend on that forum, which is pretty amazing considering you've never once posted on there.

WTF? Cringeworthy.
