Delivered #16317 x 5, 43rd Regiment of Foot, 2nd Rank Standing Firing.

I started this small diorama vignette last year when this figure was announced as one of the 2025 Club figures. It was originally entitled "Locking In". With the delivery of 5 of these figures I was able to finish today what I had started last year. Here's a link to the original thread in which I shared photos of the initial progress of the display from last year:

It already looked great last year Mike, but with the rest of the figures looks even better👍🏻

Mike,

Looks great! The diorama base and the backdrop tie together quite nicely.

Thanks Brendan.

Thank you Steve. It's nice to have it completed. In January I contacted the staff at WB to see the status of this 2025 designated Club figure since that was what I had chosen as my "free" club figure that came with membership. It was then that I found out that a decision had been made to offer it as a regular part of their inventory and not as a Club figure. Imagine my surprise. It all worked out though. Ted was very understanding and sent me two out of the five figures at no charge.

That is a great looking diorama! I always look at the details and intricacies of each miniature. And the officer holding the sword standing next to the drummer bears an uncanny resemblance to Johnny Carson.

Mike

Thank you very much. Now that you mention it, the officer does resemble Johnny Carson.

Seeing your diorama has reminded me of a book I read long ago by Bernard Cornwall, the author of the Sharpe books called Redcoat, set as you might guess from the title, in thd AWI, I seem to remember thinking it quite good, but unlike several of his other books, it's just a one off and not a series.

The British 43rd Regiment of Foot has one of the more complete set of poses of an AWI regiment in the act of firing. These are great and love the image of the diorama with the battle line. Chris

I totally agree with you Chris. I just wish I had more display room so I could incorporate all of the poses in a proper battle line.

Great pics!

Thank you very much Jason

Really stunning and the vegetation and ground cover are superb.

Thank you very much Chris. The vegetation and ground cover was my first attempt at using a static grass applicator and various sizes and colors of static grass.
This turned out really nice Mike. The figures look great and you did an excellent job with the dio base!

Thanks Mark. I know how much this time period means to you. I'm glad you liked it.

Thank you very much Jake. By the way, how is your Alamo display coming along. That might be one of my projects. I have the chapel facade but nothing else (defenders or attackers).
Mike

Hi Mike!

My display is all finished. Alas, it’s in the storage unit as I took a job across the state and haven’t had an opportunity to go back and move all my stuff yet.
