The story about Monica Witt is now coming up again. She is the POS traitor who defected to Iran and probably got some of our personnel killed over the years. We have never been able (why I don't know to reapprehend her). Now a 200K bounty is on her head. I really and seriously hope a merc takes her out and collects the reward. What a real pos.

I agree that those posts by Trump are out there but when most of what he has said over the last 10 years about his enemies being true I would be paranoid too.

Apparently those oil slicks amount to tens of thousands of barrels of oil.
Satellite imagery seems to show it drifting over to Saudi Arabia and the UAE.
Apart from the environmental effect on fish, Dolphins, birds etc, if it makes landfall by desalination plants, it will clogg up the filters, putting them out of action.

At which point the Saudi's and Emirates could decide to do a tit for tat attacks on Iranian desalination plants and as we all know, fresh water is a scarce commodity all round that area and so another humanitarian disaster may be looming, that not much attention is being given to on top of the problems Iran faces in the coming months with water shortages already.
None of which are getting much attention at present, with all eyes on the nuclear materials issues.
 
I guess this is appropriate here, but the New York Times is officially on my never read again list. I really hate the press. I just don't understand the idiotic decision that was made. If you don't think there is an Anti Israel Bias in the USA, you are wrong. The paper just printed an obvious Hamas propaganda piece that puts some truly incredulous claims about Israel and is backed with only sources that any reasonable person would say are questionable. On top of that, it comes out 1 day before the October 7th report dealing with some horrendous abuses suffered by the hostages/captives that IS backed by reliable source reporting and hard evidence. I am sorry, but this is flat out wrong, immoral and grossly inhumane. I am not regurgitating all of the details here, independent research will take you if you are interested in this item. I will say the author of the Times piece is a controversial one sided human who has been accused of a lot of agenda and bias in the past. The sad thing is that the paper is defending him and they are spouting off a lot of legalese. I hope they are sued for libel in this case and they deserve everything coming to them. Granted, this is labeled as an OPED, BUT there is still a responsibility in reporting.

Once again, this is not free press and I would have hoped that one of the most respected papers in the world (even with a liberal bias) would have the guts to not print something so egregious and frankly disgusting to me. There is no excuse for this, this is not political , it is immoral. How you can print garbage that is sourced by known terrorists and a propaganda machine in the USA is again, another thing that is beyond me. What a load of garbage.

That is why the USA should not take their foot off the neck of Iran. Once and for all, this regime needs to be put to sleep permanently. In the words of my deceased 98 year old WW2 Veteran Grandfather - make it a parking lot and start over.(He said that over 20 years ago) With them will certainly go away a lot of sympathizers. There is no other solution.

Who wrote the piece. The Times has op-eds from any different sources, not all I agree with but in their opinion section they have a variety of opinions and I see nothing wrong with that.

I have no problem with opinions, etc. but this one is just unfounded and propaganda, no paper should print this kind of trash. Nicholas Kristof is who wrote it. It goes beyond an opinion piece and is a falsified Hamas hit job on Israel. When you make accusations that are unsubstantiated and obviously false with an agenda, that goes beyond protected opinion they are libel. IMO, this guy is a POS.
