BBG008 Elephant: Opinions Regarding (1 Viewer)

Wow this stuff takes you all over the place. But make no mistake the Elephant will be mine. And then Nashorn? looks like an Elephant but open?

KV, the Nashorn was basically the same as the Hummel but with a longer weapon with a smaller caliber meant for anti tank use.

Maybe we can all vote for that Nashorn. Seeing as Andy will never make my KV Heavy Tank:p:D:) The best part is the Winter camo!

I was on the fence about purchasing the Elephant but after looking at the pictures I think it would be a nice compliment to the new 88.

Ditto on that. It seems that the pictures often don't do justice to the vehicles:confused:. Sometimes I don't get a piece because it just doesn't appeal to me after seeing it but I've never bought one I thought was a good piece and been dissappointed in it. Case in point is the new sherman which looks rather "off" in the pictures but now that I have it in my gruby paws it is a terrific piece. Great quality and it really show the shermans seminal feature, IMHO, which is its simplicity. You can almost see them rolling off the assembly line by the thousands! It was getting this simple and plain sherman that pushed me off the fence on getting the plain Elefant:).

Just got my mitts on the elefant, for my eastern front:D:D Agree with the previous posts, the photo's don't do it justice..its a fine piece, and imo outshines a lot of my other K&C german armour. It looked unattractive in the pictures, why I don't know , but in reality its a top piece of armour:)

I agree somethings you just have to see in person.

I'm very new to K&C pieces and have a question about this one. I recently purchase this and two other vehicles from a dealer... they arrived today and I was surprised to see this vehicle packed in a white box with vea gold K&C sticker on it. It did not come in a vehicle-unique box. I'm assuming that this is not the original box but want to ask here first before approaching the seller since I'm new to K&C... did K&C release any of these in white boxes?

Thanks!

Steve

I have this one and really like it. Really get your money's worth on it.
The original came in a unique Elefant box not a white box.

Mine came in a white box. was a unique elefant box? I also bought one from e-bay which came in a box with the art work that most AFV's come in.

I think sometimes I have had sets in different boxes from the same people so, it may be that they are boxed in what comes first at the factory. Not sure its something to contact the seller about unless you wish to

Hey Mitch - here's the Elefant box.

I have the printed box too. But K&C did use a white box with a gold seal for some models. It may be a supply issue if they ran out of printed boxes and used some of the older white boxes. Check the foam cut-outs for fit. If the model fits in the foam properly, at least you can tell if that is correct.

Mine came in a white box. I picked mine up directly from the dealer.

Never seen that box before. Not sure it makes much difference well, to me anyway I would be happy if all boxes were white or plain cardboard.

Thanks for the responses guys... it does fit in the foam correctly and that fits perfectly in the white box.
