The Americans have one how about the Germans ?

Powered by a 12 cylinder Maybach HL 108 TUKRM engine, they had a loading capacity of 2.8 tons and a towing capacity of 18 tons. Crew was 8. 2000 of this version were produced.

Late in the war this chassis was used for an 88mm Flak 36 anti-aircraft mount. The cab and engine compartment were armored in the same fashion as the lighter 8t SdKfz 7/2. Only a few of these later versions were completed.A crew of 8 would be nice?

Nice lookng vehicle. I think $300 is too expensive. Despite what I said about the Recovery Vehicle, I think it's a great looking model (I saw one this week). It's just the cost that I think is the problem.

I reckon it would sell better than the American one IMO

I agree, but I suspect it would cost more to make considering the extra rigging and detail required which is why I suggested a smaller quantity (say 500).

I think Figarti or KNC could do this item easily. They have the basic "chasis" already, especially Figarti.

It's German, so it'll outsell the Amreican M26, whcih according to several dealers I know has not been at great seller at retail.

It think it's a good move and it would sell near the $299 price point with four or five crew members.

Andy ( & Rick ) would love the add on potential.

BTW - love the model...

I think maybe $170.00 range?:)

I never got the impression that the HB Bergepanther was a hot seller despite the quality of the piece. They were/are priced at $245 so I would be surprised if people would pay $300 for this piece.

Personally I am very interested in vehicle recovery scenes as they are an integral part of combat operations.

It wasn't a hot seller despite being a very well made AFV. When it came out a few years ago $245 was a lot of money for a specialty vehicle and people were keyed in on the Jagdpanther, Sherman and Panther and cheaper K&C AFVs.. The offshoots like the Bergepanther, damaged Panther and a few smaller items (amphibious jeep, food wagon) are still available today. Try and find a Sherman or Jagdpanther!

Hi Guys,

I am beginning to think some of you guys must be PSYCHIC!!! Either that or you really do have a spy in K&C’s headquarters…

Yes, I admit it we are producing the Recovery Vehicle… It’s been “in the works for a wee while”… and there will be two (2) versions. Although a big vehicle it will be very affordable… I promise.

So, put some of your pennies aside for it… It’s on the way… More details nearer the time…

Best wishes and psychically yours,
Andy C.

I have the american version and would really enjoy having a german version.....BUT,,,,,$300 is to high..........
