Trophy price (1 Viewer)

Well there is another one in Pietermaritzburg so there are at least two

I hope it was rare considering the final price of 1,030 GBP.

This is from the Nap Black Prince series right? There is a figure of the Black Prince on horseback jumping (I have). I would speculate that these were some of the last Nap releases prior to calling it quits, I know the Black Prince figure itself always commands a decent price and I believe it was the first and most plentiful from this line. I can only say that it is possible the flagbearer was a onesy/twosy kind of release or it was the last release and only a few were made? either way, BIG price paid that is for sure, wow!

Here is the actual set description in the 2003 catalogue

See, I didn't have that late of a catalog! Oh well, just a thought, have no idea why this one would go that way unless they never made many of them, which is possible.

Yeah, they are hard to find, I have an older set that includes the Raj, then a middle one, then a 2001 I believe. SO 2003 is definitely one of the last I think other than an MKL catalog.

The MKL one I have has several different manufacturers from ANI MODEL SOLDIERS to VALIANT MINIATURES but only has some of the AZW, ACW, NAP, CRIMEA, TOWN AND COUNTRY, WILD WEST and WW1 from TROPHY

I think Mike Laeding still has an online catalogue and price list.
The Standard Bearer and Duke are listed there.
I have both just ordered them before the end so I was lucky.

Martyn,

I have an MKL catalogue with the contents similar to yours.

However, there is no publication date.

Do you know how many editions of the MKL catalogue were published ?

Thanks, Raymond.

Hi Martyn,

Thanks. I find the labelled colour pictures very helpful.

If only it had the complete Trophy range....

That's probably expecting too much anyway.

Cheers, Raymond.:)

Hi Raymond

I'd settle for the AZW, EGYPT and THE SUDAN, BOER, INDIAN MUTINY and AFGHAN sets:D

I'm working on collecting those, considering I only had AZW sets this time last year I haven't done bad:D

Hi Raymond

I can confirm there was only one MKL catalogue, there were 10,000 copies printed.
