Well...she looks great: almost as an exact copy of Trophy's Victoria :)

Sand bags also look impressive but unfortunately not very realistic... I do not think that a cabin roof could stand all this weight and most of them would be in the water when a gun boat made a sharp stop....

Ahoy there landlubbers !!!!

Excellent Martyn. I want a boat now !! LOL Love the use of the Trophy figures, picked up from the recent show I take it. What a great setup, perhaps when I am next in England I can come steal ermmmm I mean play with it. :D :D :D

Sure is great boerboy;). The sand bags and armour plating are all removable which means there are so many ideas for great dioramas.

You almost guessed right about the figures, I already had 5 but the rest were picked up last Saturday. You are more than welcome to call when you visit England next.

Hello Martyn,

Thanks. The Nile boat looks much nicer with your Trophy civilians.

I just luv' the couple at the bow. ?A Little Titanic love affair on the Nile.

The intensity of the gentleman's affections for the lady are palpable.

Alas, unrequited love........

Great Job !!

Raymond.:)

Thank you and very well spotted Raymond;)

I had never bothered to collect much in the Trophy Civilian range but I am very pleased I found a lot of figures last Saturday, have you seen how much some single figures have been selling for on Ebay recently:eek:

Hi Martyn,

I really do love the couple on the bow.....

The passionate intensity of a Victorian romance, I dare say....

Superb shot.

I seldom watch the close of these auctions.
What sort of price are the civilian's reaching now.
The Trophy second hand market is getting a bit ridiculous now.

I reckon the sellers don't agree with you Damian :D

Wow !! Although look back to some of the older (hollowcast) single civilian pieces some of them command a hefty price. Just goes to show it doesn't have to be old to be expensive.

Hi Damian and Scott

£205.74 for the three figures

Hello Martyn,

Thanks very much for the update on the prices.

I thought the Trophy singles were going for 15 quid a piece at the show.

The marked variation is the prices look more like auction type prices.

Cheers, Raymond.:)

Absolutely right Raymond, I've quoted the Ebay prices, I would never pay those prices.

The average price at London was £12 - £15

Here are a couple of the Ebay listings

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=200412558933&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT

And here is one for a single damaged Dervish …………£33.70:eek:

Hi Martyn,

Thanks again for the latest update on the prices.

I have not been monitoring the Trophy Completed Listings on eBay.co.uk. so I have fallen behind somewhat.

This is very tough.....70 to 90 quid for a single Trophy civilian.

It is a great pity that he sells onsite only.;)

Raymond.:)

Boy that is a bit barmy to say the least.
73 GBP for a single Civilian Figure.
I am really gald I bought my Trophy stuff when I did.
Do you think that the bubble will burst anytime soon?
