LOL - I see things don't really change here at Treefrog Forum.....
I am amazed at all the personalization that is going on here if King & Country doesn't make this item or that ? - OMG, gentlemen - MAN UP !
It is a World Wide Business - which requires an appeal that must sell around the World !
We are very fortunate to have so much information and access from King & Country. Who else puts out MONTHLY production schedules ??
Andy is one of the most reachable makers of the Toy Soldier Industry - some of the complaints - here in this thread - come from the CONVERSATIONS YOU HAD WITH HIM during one of his numerous appearances !!
Look - if you want to groan & moan - hey, thats your right. But, please - lets be honest - there is NO OTHER TOY SOLDIER MAKER WHO IS MORE ACCESSIBLE THAN ANDY NEILSON !
I personally think its great that King & Country makes so many different items and has so many different ranges - some I want - some I do not - thats what collecting is all about.
We should throw roses at his feet for all the choices he and K&C has given us over the years - no one told him he had to do it ! Yes - he is a businessman and makes a profit - but, he is also a visionary - he led our hobby into the 21st Century and made the advances in our hobby that other Toy Makers have copied for their own profits.
Without Andy Neilson - collecting Toy Soldiers would be something less than it is today.
Let us not forget how we got here in this place and time of Toy Soldier Collecting.
I am happy to see Figarti, CS, Britains, TG, Conte and others taking advantage of the renaissance in the Toy Soldier World that King & Country created. I collect their items too and love them - but, I always know in the back of my mind where we came from since 1984.
It can be frustrating not to get the particular range or figures you want - hey remember my
SEMINOLES! (still a very profitable and great idea !!

) - but thats up to the business guy who has to do what makes his business work - not me the collector.
I am sure the haters will come out on this one - and maybe I will get popped by Shannon again from some transgression which I have caused. But, lets face it - we - the Modern Toy Soldier Collector - owe a lot to Mr. Andy Neilson and King & Country.
In My Opinion - Of Course
