Lucky you. Hobby Bunker just sold one of those jeeps - I didn't see the final price. And now HB has the Arnhem Bren Gun Carrier on e-bay.

Scott, got to ask young man,if this guy really did rip you off,(whoever he is)why are you still buying stuff from him?

Rob

Gotta agree with Rob. That does not sound very canny young man.

don't knoe th background on thois but 2 seconds after the auction is over you may get a "second chance " offer....dirty little trick some sellers do on Ebay.

A few of us are really into the Arnhem Series. You can find yourself tempted to pick up a piece or two when they become available. It is much nicer if you can find them from another collector that has taken care of them. I recently picked up several pieces from a collector having a new baby. It was a nice experience.

It certainly would be a drag to pay good money for a rare piece and have it be nothing but junk.

Scott you really should have canceled your bid, leaving it in play means this fellow will make more money when he sells the piece. I know you have been looking for the Reese Jeep for quite awhile but thats half the fun. One will turn up.:)

I never realised who he was! Then I seen the name on ebay and did the math!;)

If I heard the story correctly, this person uses this forum to sell and trade items he calls mint but aren't and then tells the buyer it's their problem.

Why would this be allowed to continue on the forum? Threads alerting people to this activity get locked, comments deleted though names are not publicly dropped. If the information is verifiable and come from multiple forum users, why is this person protected? Doesn't make sense...

Maybe I'm out of line here but I think it begs the question.

Gideon,

a better question is why do people like me get infractions for being sarcastic with said problem!!!:D:D

Because I'm sure it infringes on their "privacy rights". You're lucky he didn't mention that he was going to sue the owners of the forum...

Been there and I was threatened by a forum member for revealing "private information" about his company. There was nothing private about that information at all yet the threat of legal action got my posts deleted.

Hey, I don't make the rules. But I hope this guy is banned or, at least, banned from posting in the classifieds section.

perhaps because there are other people on the Forum who are much better at sarcasm and they have the sarcasm position locked up. :p:D

Terry

Sorry,
But i dont know who the guy is who has been selling "bad goods" via Ebay to other forum members. Since i occasionally buy on Ebay, would someone be kind enough to PM me the name of the person in question.(I was very careful with my wording)
thanks

Yeah, I guess its certainly not one of my strong suits!!!! Thanks Terry, I needed that.

PS, next time if I am going to get infracted for insulting a forum member, you can believe I am going to make it well worth my type and use my favorite DIRECT words, the heck with the sarcasm, I will get right to the point!!

.....................................................................................................

Scott, I have no plans to ever sell any Arnhem Series as it is just to difficult to come by. Should anything change I would certainly drop you a note.:)
