W Britains grass mats (1 Viewer)

I just noticed W.Britains sells grass mats that are available through TF, but when I went onto Britains official website could not find them on there at all.

What sizes are these $72.00 mats, they are awesome especially love the one with the road.

I know they are obviously bigger than the square $45.00 one???

They are both 16" L x 11" W. They are made by Ken & Ericka Osen (Hudson & Allen) for Wm. Britain. Hope this helps . . . . . Mike

They are on a wood board it looks like to me. There not mats.

Yes. On a hard board. I have one of theirs with just grass and love it!!! I have seen others at a show, and they are exceptional.

I don't have an answer for that. However, both of these display bases were listed in the 2009 Collection Catalog on page 41. They are #DISP04 Grass Display Base with Road Section and #DISP03 Grass Display Base.

Exceptional Joe really exceptional-that's what I would call diorama realism

IMHO Ken Osen makes the best diorama bases on the market. That's why I have had him custom make all of the bases I use in my ACW dios. They add a whole depth of realism to any picture as Joe's photographs of his Drift shows.

A question for the Lt.,

Is the mat you are showing with the sandbags a custom made order? The different colors of the grass and bushes are great. I have never seen a mat with these details available for ordering.

Hi there...
This base with H&A 'Wild Grass' treatment was a one of a kind made for Joe's Birthday.
We may be offering something similar up the road, but except for the bases that we make for W. britain, all of the H&A products are one of a kind for the moment.

This allows us to create a good color and add additional details if needed for the correct time and place.
Ericka is currently making 6 different ACW bases and there are three different grass colors and two different soil colors because of the locations they represent.
Also note that at he moment we are only offering our scenics on board bases.

Hopefully H&A will think about producing some of these as I wouldn't mind one or two. They would be excellent for some stand alone photo shoots.
