I really like those figs Firebat and also the red dirt you have used which was apparently fairly common in Vietnam. At least red soil seems to be evident in several photos I've seen of Vietnam.

...or could the K&C figures actually are 1/28? Looking at Honor Bound Panther and its crew, it seems that the HB has the correct proportion. You could also be right Louis, because in the case of the GREIF, it has the exact dimension of HJB's (not HB or Honor Bound) Sdkfz 250 which is 1/32...just my POV.

When I was researching the Nam Diorama for Figarti, I did notice the prevalence of red dirt in Nam. I don't know if it was everywhere, maybe Chuck can shed some light on the subject.

The Township is building a park across from my house, and among all of the piles of dirt I saw this red pile, so I went on a midnight raid and acquired some.

The Nam figures are a bit chunky, and they were fun to work with. I will release a few more pics when I get permission from Rick.

Give me a yell if you run short of that red dirt and I'll send you some as my house is built on the stuff :) Red soil is very prevalent on the Sunshine Coast hinterland because of past volcanic activity and it's popular for growing pineapples etc.

I agree. If all models were the same scale, then it would force the which one is best comparison. The 1/32 guys now ,will not buy K/C because of the larger scale, and the K/C guys will not buy 1/32 as they tend to be too small. It gives collectors choices to make as to the look of their display. Michael
 
Hi Guys,

Read all threads, to even compare us with the King after just 4 years in this industry is very encouraging and we will continue to improve and make "The Figarti Way" even better!

A few comments. I admit our figures are not compatible with 1/30 scale and we have no intention to go into the 1/30 scale segment unless it becomes the industry norm. That said, I too find it strange that our Tiger is so similar in size but I am sure our two companies were intending to stay true to our respective scale.

I am very pleased with our improved paint standards and please remember, like Carlos mentioned, we paint in differnt style. We tend to weather our figures more and give it a more realistic feel, and K&C uses more artisitc line painting to make its figure stand out more. Every company has its own style, I personally like K&C a lot, but will keep Figarti the way it is.

As for our sculpting, NOTED. We will improve!

An update on the NEW factory: We should be moving in by early February, I will post some photos when we move in, its a fun and beautiful place to be creative!

So back to comparing us with the KING, Andy is the King and I respect him for what he has accomplished in 22 years.

I appreciate many of you for supporting Figarti even when you are mostly all K&C loyalist. But here it is, this business was started for my Father who loves the hobby, I now love it, its great fun and its fun because of you guys.

Dear Rick, I do not want you to be pushed into a me too philosophy as in emulating K/C's scale. I am not so sure that I trust their measure anymore. Their newest Normandy Stuart is the exact same size as your Stuarts and as noted by me and others, your Tiger is near exact in size to K/C's. I am not a K/C only guy, and as long as you put armor and vehicles that I like ,you will get my business. Need armor for your Nam stuff.........Michael

Dear Rick,

I would also love to see a huey from the 101st airborne my uncle was a door gunner on one and I would just love to see a piece that I could purchase to honor him. He died in the last months of the war.
 
Does anybody have the new Figarti tanker figures specifically the winter set? I know that here has been a previous discussion in regards to compatability with K&C, etc. However, since this is a newer set/release, I was wondering if they wood look ok with a K&C, HB, NMA display or are they too small as was the case with their earlier figures? As always, thanks for your help & time.

Great question. Perhaps someone has a picture or two that they could post showing the comparison.
 
The 1/32 Figarti Tiger is the near exact size of the K/C Tiger, which means that even though Figarti's figures would be smaller,they are the more exact size and K/C's 1/30 figures are actually too big for even their own vehicle. Talk about a scale screw up from someone. So you could use Figarti's tankers for both mfg. Tigers and be anatomically correct or you could use K/C tankers with both vehicles and the Tigers would be the same size. If you are still confused, imagine my surprise with K/C PUTTING OUT A TOO SMALL TANK........Michael
