I believe when you joined us just under 2 years ago Martyn these were filled with K&C. Now look at them stuffed with Trophy & WB goodies. Very nice indeed!!

Martyn,

Very nice collection, well part of it anyway. :)

My wife has the exact same cabinet (Mahogany pair) but full of Lilliput Lane Cottages……..Hmmm……..;)

Hi Martyn,

Thanks very much for obliging with the very nice photographs.

I like the design of the mahogany pair of cabinets.

The closed compartments at the bottom can be used for storing the empty boxes of the figures on display.

The radio set must be a collector's item too.;)

Cheers, Raymond.:)

Thank you Raymond.

The Radiogram is a modern reproduction that plays 78 rpm records, just right for my Swing 78's and V Discs

Martyn,

If only they were all small including the prices! Some have trains, fishing boats and all manner of other crap.

Lilliput Lane does make some nice English cottages in miniature.

The pieces are nicely boxed and make for great souvenir gifts from the UK, except these are not inexpensive.

I wonder if these are still made in the UK and the production has not been outsourced.

In the 80's my parents and occasionally myself used to paint the David Winter cottages. A driver would come to our house with trays of different house to be painted and we would choose which ones we wanted for that delivery. The amount paid and what they sold for was just daylight robbery. The smaller houses would range from 25p - 75p for each piece the larger ones £1.00 - £2.50

Maybe GICOP was hinting that the rest of us should post some photos of our cabinets, shelves or whatever. :D

Martyn,

Very nice display cabinets. How often do you rotate your collection through the cabinets.

Thanks Brian, I seem to remember you have some excellent displays yourself.

I thought I would try to rotate every 6 months or so.

Next time I would give the AZW and Egypt and The Sudan a go;)

Cheers

Martyn,

Very nice displays:cool::cool: Just have one suggestion - given all the wonderful toys you have, you should be able to display more of them by adding more shelves - you have way too much open space between the shelves :p:D Space is always an issue so I say fill your case to the brim:) Unless of course, the Boss says otherwise:( which has sadly happened to me.

My K&C glossy addiction on display

Lawrence,

I like the way you maximise utilisation of space within the cabinets.

It is a great idea to use the set boxes to create a multi-step display.

By the way, you got mail.....I see you keep your letters there too.:D:p

Thanks, Raymond.:)
