New Release:M4A3E8 " Easy Eight " (1 Viewer)

I have looked at this several times now, the more I do the more I want one, trouble is Winter or Summer, Summer or Winter?. An excellent idea to give two turrets in the set, great thinking.

That one great looking Sherman + love the detail on the tracks
Just need a King Tiger now ;)

The great thing with two turrets is the manner in which it lends itself to some great dio ideas. The spare tank turret can be used as a destroyed piece on the battlefield and, with some care can be semi dug into ground work which will make scenes look more realistic or, you can buy two and have one permanantly knackered on your battlefield. As uksubs states cannot wait for the big german tanks with this detail.

The list to Santa is starting to look a little greedy!!!

Hadn't thought of that Mitch, Brian will there indeed be German Tanks down the line with two turrets??

I am a sucker for the Sherman. It is beautiful, but is it "to scale?"

He he, I feel like a broken record on this one, but here goes again: we started using a 1/30th scale " block " of sorts on all vehicles on and after the Panther. The " block " was based on the average height of a soldier of 5' 9" and it represented a foot tall increment: we used about 5.9 of them.

The same " block " was in use back when we made the Panther and the same " block " was used all the way to this vehicle: The Sherman. The very same scale block will be used for next years vehicles and on and on and on and on.

The great thing many collectors are noticing is that instead of their figures being 6.10 next to their vehicles with their new TCS vehicles their figures now fit nicely. The reason: we don't kit bash 1/35th scale models togethor, thats how we get all the rich detail: We custom build them from the ground up to a sharp 1/30th scale: so enjoy!

Cheers! Tallly Hoooo!

regards,

Brian

OK Brian. I has been able to resist all your nice items so far, but now you have hit me where I live! Being the resident "Shermanoholic" I find this to be a very attractive release. Whether this does or does not fit with the cometitor's products, I see this in a nice little scene with the crew reloading ammo. Those figures look very nice! The price is attractive. I'm going to have this one on my want list. When do you anticipate these being available?

PS - trivia - the rubber chevron T84 tracks are more common post-war, the all-steel T66 track was the most common type used in WW2, with some use of the steel chevron T80 type. It's probably too late to change, but it's certainly not a deal breaker..

Oh...that is an interesting process. I thought you took the exact diminsions of the actual vehicle and used a proportion ratio of 1:30 to determine the model size. Wouldn't that be a more accurate way to do it?

Brian...

I think initial response shows the turret idea is going to be a winner. What edition will both shermans come in??

Excellent Brian.....You know the Allies did win the war....You would never know it by the amount of German stuff that is produced. Glad to see you jump in on the Allies side again :) Love the variations of damaged and non damaged etc. This piece will get a staring part in our upcoming Mini-Series. Alex

Brian, would it be too much to ask for a crate with 76mm shells for the loaders set?

Brian, I love the tank riders and jumpers, especially the summer ones!:) Any chance we could see some regular ground troops to go along with these?:confused:

Regards,
Vick
