Best King & Country tank so far ? (1 Viewer)

Currently repainting K&C's latest Panzer III and never really looked at it all that closely before but, have to admit its a real nice model so, I slightly change and add this one with the Panzer 1 ausf F

Can I put a word in for the Hummel, great AFV from K&C. The camo is excellent as is the crew figures and tracks, one of the best German vehicles made in my view:cool:

Agreed. The Hummel was the first WWII vehicle I bought, and it is top notch!

As they were so prolific at Kursk it would be good to see one in a similar paint scheme to the tiger 1

Mitch, I think the Hummel's paint scheme is very similar to the Kursk Tiger, at least by photo comparison. What we need now is a Hummel with a summer crew. Heck, the Hummel KC did even has the division emblem of the 3rd SS on it. A reissue would only involve short sleeve shirts.:D I have not seen the KC Hummel in person, so I don't know if other changes would be neccesary but I would definately like a summer version, too. -- Al

Lancer....

Don't think it would need much work remove the stowage kit on the side and model some new crew just thought a nice SS Hummell could accompany the Tiger but, the colour way would work for Normandy by applying some red brown.

I have to go with the US M12 155mm howitzer! Lots of Tigers and Shermans, but only one M12 production makes it a much more desirable piece.

After much deliberation, weighing up the pros and cons of each K&C tank, considering the views of other forum members, changing my mind several times in the process, I'm going to go with the Cromwell. Yes, definately the Cromwell! Or... the Tunisian Tiger... no, the Matilda... but then I really like the Char B1... aww **** it!

:D The Universal problem mate!

Do love that Matilda though:cool:

I have the old winter tiger but without the crew it is not very desireable....The crew makes the whole piece come alive...otherwise it's pretty bland

Couldn't agree more- I believe that was a special allure with that set.

Otherwise, I'm going with the Soviet T34- at $99 MSRP that was a steal!!

Close contenders- cannot believe no one picked the Mark IV from the WW1 line- everytime I see that thing I smell exhaust and feel the grit of trenchlife. At $115 it's a steal as well if not for simple door prop value alone.

On it's heels to me is the Iraqi T-62. The flushness of the hulldown position makes it seamlessly blend into any backdrop. I am surprised that KC hasn't taken another shot at a Hulldown though admittedly a.) if an armor unit is hulldown, than it isn't doing what it should be (supporting infantry or exploiting gaps) and b.) I really cannot recall seeing any Tigers and Panthers in hulldown positions- went completely against Guderian's principles.

Anyway, that's my shortlist.

Looks like the "new undisputed winner" will be the new WS177 SL Snow Tiger;).....K/C really stepping up on detail....quite Impressive....Perhaps we will see the long awaited and requested "grey" Tiger Tank....Who knows?;)

It's nice but if you factor in price point, I still think there are several out there that are better.

My favorite is the sandbagged Sherman. It shows what soldiers will do on their own to stay alive. My second is the T34 with the bed springs for the same reason.

Such a difficult question. My favourite tends to continually change however I seem to always come back to my DD065 British Sherman but I also really like the ambush camo versions of a variety of German tanks like the newest Royal Tiger, BOB Hetzer and Jagdpanther.

The new Snow Tiger looks like the winner to me. I love the paint scheme and the size increase from the old Winter Tiger gives it the edge. My Tunisian Tiger is the prize of my collection, but I think the Snow Tiger will soon take its place.

I would be interested to know what people think is the best K&C tank made so far ?
Photos are welcome
;)

I discovered K&C just over a year ago, so I am not familiar with all the tanks they have prouced until today
But my favourite tank so far is the M10 tank destroyer
guy:)
