Hey Wayne, just a little eye trouble and been told to give the old computer a rest for a while, but when have I ever listened to any good advice, health is one thing, but Toy soldiers are important;)

I've just phoned Rob and he's had an eye problem so not spending as long on the forum as late, but otherwise ok.

Jeff

Thanks for your call Jeff, very kind of you.:)

Rob

Thanks Bill very kind, woke up last Friday and my right eye vision was just all coloured discs and flashing lights, they tell me it's something called central serous retinopathy. They say it's caused by stress and may take nine months to go...oh joy!. In the meantime I am going to rest for a few weeks and may not post so much (here here I hear you all say!;)) and when I do my spelling may be worse than usual!! :D

Cheers Guys

Rob

Rob,

Sorry to hear about this but have you been to a retina specialist. A few months ago my vision in my left eye seemed a little odd and I discovered I had a partially detached retina and the retina specialist did laser therapy (surgery) that night. I would got to see one if you haven't.

Hope it gets better.

Cheers,

Thanks Brad, I will see what the specialist says in a few weeks time. In the meantime the Doctor is sending me away to the country for a couple of weeks r&r starting Saturday...it must be serious.....I won't be here for Dispatches, and that never happens!!;):D

Hope you are much better now Brad

Cheers

Rob

Rob,

I'm fine. It was discovered in June and taken care of quickly. Have you been to a retinologist? If not, I would get to one.

Well I saw specialist at Moorefields Hospital and he told me there was no cure or treatment for CSR they will see me every six weeks and we just have to wait, apparently it can take nine months to go on its own, its down to stress so I'm just going to try and chill for a few weeks. Must say it was quite shocking waking up to mainly flashing colours in one eye, but hopefully a couple of weeks in the country will start me on the road to recovery. From Saturday I won't be able to check in much but will return on 19th October full of life and ready for the Winter releases, before you know it you will all be saying 'Oh Bloody hell he's come back'!!;)

Rob

Well try to take it easy as well as removing the cause of the stress (easier said than done). If there's anything I can do, do not hesitate to let me know.

Much appreciated mate.:)

Maybe if I play on the wifes's sympathy she'll buy me that ME262;)

Cheers Brad

Rob

Rob,

I just did some research and the only effective cure is rest. Clinical approaches have been tried but are not always effective.

Sorry if I caused you any additional stress. Hope to see you back soon.

Best as always mate.

Thanks mate, you did not cause me any stress at all and have always been of great support.

I'll be back full time on 19th and will be lurking around until then:)

Well I certainly hope you have the version with the shortest recovery time mate. For all our teasing I hope you know I very much enjoy our interactions here and will certainly miss you in the interim. Please take care and tell your wife we all think you need that Me 262, er, to help with the stress and all.:D

You'd never hear me saying something like that.:rolleyes::p
Have you told the Doc you switched from G&Ts to straight meths? Dunno, but that might have something to do with it mate.
Also, I'm presuming the R&R will include the abstaining from Googling Ms Aniston? ;) (woah! even the 'smileys' have got it)

Hope the TRS clears up soon Rob, and certainly in time for December. Don't want any ailments that are going to preclude you from 'The Dance of the Nine Chandeliers'.

Cheers

Thanks Bill, very kind of you mate, I too enjoy our interactions and it'll take more than one dodgy eye to keep me away from here for long.I'm sure the 262 would help Bill, I'll pass on your advice to my better half;)

Have a good break. All the best

Thanks to all you guys, and I expect one of you to post my dispatch thread whilst I'm away...it'll be the first dispatch i've missed in years!!
