WOW Gordon on Ebay (1 Viewer)

Raymond,

Good luck to you on this set! I hope you get it for a reasonable amount of dosh, and I'll throw an extra blurb for you to the Big Guy upstairs:)

Lord knows, you would appreciate the set!

Hi Mike,

Thanks very much for the support.

However, the PW1 set is not a "sure run thing" yet.

There must be a less expensive way to acquire retired Trophy sets.:(

By the way, my knuckles were spared.....

.....but I am due for confession.

Raymond.:)

Hi Martyn,

It is a rare sight for Trophy Set PW1 to appear with a starting bid price of USD $99.00.

After admiring your magnificent set, I thought what an opportunity this would be.

Then again, the reality has set in.

The bid amount has more than doubled in the opening 24 hours.

I am sure bidding will go through the roof for this one, as it did for Gordon Pasha and Dr. Brydon.

Anyway, I was not the winning bidder for these sets, so I have a few dollars left in the piggy bank.

Cheers, Raymond.:)

Hi Raymond

The very best of luck with this set.

It does look like 2 bidders are after this set at the moment, if one pulls out who knows.

Cheers

Martyn:)

At 493$, I'm sort of glad I missed her concert!

I heard there is a really great show in Chicago this weekend.

It is rumoured a famous actress will be making a guest appearance.

Great, I still have a few dollars left in the piggy bank.....:)

Hi Raymond

It is a shame you didn’t win the set.:(

I was seriously considering bidding on these three sets (16 figures) but didn’t in the end.

Customs and Import Duty in the UK could have added another £75 to the total price before it was delivered:mad:

Hi Martyn,

Thanks very much for your note.

I have been setting strict limits on how high to go of late.

This has resulted in a series of consecutive "no joy" situations, with loss of some great sets/figures.:(

The gradual escalation of prices of retired Trophy sets over the past 1 to 2 years has been rather unfortunate.

I shall have to be more "SAS" with respect to some "must have" retired Trophy sets.

It appears Customs and Import Duty in the UK is a teeny weeny bit over the top.

Kind Regards, Raymond.:)

Martyn: I forgot that the statute is near you. What about the difference in colors?

Tommy you are quite right, the school is only about 5 or 6 miles away from me

I noticed the camels were different colour, I will try and find out roughly how many were made, not many I'll bet;)

Cheers

Martyn:)

Hi Tommy

I didn't think that Trophy did a Gordon on horseback only Kitchener.

Since finding the one pictured I've managed to find a later version of Gordon on his camel, slightly different paint job to the camel

Cheers

Martyn:)

Thanks Martyn: Did Kitchner have a fez also? I am certain you are correct.

Hi Martyn: I must have the other version. Look at photo 33 in my album three if you are interested. He has a lighter uniform, is turned in the saddle some and is on a brown horse.
