Afraid so, wrapped in plain paper or polystyrene containers now.
Over here in the UK its called "Candy Floss" and we have "Toffee Apples" as well. Same teeth rotting stuff the world over.

Believe it or not, the second best meal I ever had in my life was in London, at a sonderful seafood and fresh game restaurant called "Scotts". I had Venison Medalions that were sublime, and my wife had the house specialty, Seafood Pie, which was to die for. Needless to say, a step up from fish and chips. For those wondering, the best meal I ever had was in Prague, at a restaurant whose name I couldn't pronouce or spell, Stag Medalions. They were so good I ate there two nights running, and had the exact same meal right down to the Cuban cigar at the end.
Still cant get use to that idea - a deep fried candy bar???![]()
