THE NAPOLEON THREAD II - For those who still hear the GUNS !! - but wont fire them. (1 Viewer)

Very nice. I have a set of what I think is the old Scot Grays on the way. Hopefully, will be here tomorrow. That will complement my two glossy Napoleon's and the only Belgian militiaman that I have.

Here are some more pics of the old K and C stuff and one of my study.

Very nice. I wonder what the Napoleonic-ists (if that's a word) on this Board think.

I agree Brad, they are very nice indeed. They almost appear to be ceramic in that deep gloss finish.

I am not a big Gloss Fan - but, those are great figures!

Oh course - They are KING AND COUNTRY FIGURES aren't they :D

Damian,

Your figures are very, very nice. Clearly, you have many reasons to be proud of your collection. I know I would be!

However, my favorite pictures is the one of your study. Toy soldiering is always a work in progress and your study demonstrates great commitment to the hobby! It also demonstrates great fun, which, in my opinion is what the hobby is all about. :)

Thanks for sharing your pictures. You have a really nice collection of early K&C figures.

Warmest personal regards,

Pat

Thanks for your kind comments.
I just chanced upon K and C in a small review in a modelling magazine in 1997 and wrote to Sue. I have had these figues squashed up in a corner of the cabinet since then. It is great to show them to an appreciative audience

The Illustrated Encyclopaedia of Uniforms of the Napoleonic Wars by Digby Smith and published by Lorenz books is out. It has great clear and crisp illustrations.
I would recommend it.
