Excellent pics, thanks Howard and thanks for posting them Wayne.

Rob

Great pics.
Thanks, Howard and Wayne, for an early start on the Westcoaster coverage.
Much appreciated.
Konrad

Thanks Howard and Wayne.

Well, looks like the K&C WWI aircraft are getting ready to launch and 2 pilot figures there also.

Good to see the future SOE's.

Regards
Brett

Nice to see the missing SOE poses and that the early three look like they will be glossed in the near future. WWI aircraft look nice Lancer will be a happy man. Great pics
Mitch

Those WW I planes look quite impressive as do the Sikhs.

Howard or anyone there, what are the planes made of? Are they polystone?

Cheers,

Right you are Mitch.^&grin SOE glossies look fantastic. And then theres that WW1 aircraft thing KC seems to have going.:wink2: That is a brilliant looking trio of Albatros D-3's (they look to be D-3's from the date of the color schemes). Gorgeous paint jobs. From the rear, the red one appears to be MvRichthofen's but the silver looking nose might indicate that it is Allmenroders (though the nose should then be white). The middle D-3 is Werner Voss', while with Jasta 2 in mid 1917. The one in front looks to be Herman Gorings while with Jasta 27, also mid 1917. Beautiful looking aircraft. Way to jump into WW1 airplanes, KC! Thanks for posting the pictures, Wayne, and thanks to Howard for taking them. -- Al

Examining the WW1 aircraft pictures. Looks like 3 (or 4) different pilot figures for sure. Can't tell if the pilot wearing the brown jacket and the one wearing the black are different figures or not. The figures look great. Looking at just these two photos of the aircraft, it seems that two of them (the red and the black planes) have the rounded rudder edge indicative of the Albatros D-5, while the Voss craft has the straight edge rudder of the D-3. I can't get a good enough look at the tail skid to make a positive ID. The tail skid and rudder shapes are 2 of the 3 visual identifiers between the D-3 and D-5. This doesn't mean the planes are innaccurate, just different. Looking forward to more photos/info on these releases. -- Al

Oh my, the Sons of the Empire in gloss LOOK LIKE A THING OF BEAUTY:salute::... This really looks like a historical moment, K&C coming back to gloss. I love it! Andy never stops does he?:wink2:. Genious I'd say:salute::.
Thanks for posting these wonderful photos.

Thanks for posting these photos looks great .
richard :salute::

As I sit working on opposition to a motion, I am quite envious of my friends Howard, Tim, Hans, Tom, Ed and Andy enjoying the show. I wish I could have made it.

I am very, very impressed by the WWI warbirds (Albatross DIII?) as well as the magnificent glossy Sikhs. ^&cool^&cool^&cool^&cool Gordon's dioramas are, always, spectacular.:salute:: The hanger for the P47, which looks to be designed to fit into a corner, is exactly like the one Gordon had drawn the design of for me at the second Symposium.

Yup, it would be great to be there but that's the way it goes :(

Great looking photos and dios. Thanks for posting the pics.

Boooo Booo on all of this- where's the Bradley??? ^&grin^&grin

That jagdtiger is huge.

If I were at that table, I'd have the guy in a headlock looking for a submission till he committed to make SF08 ^&grin

Seems to be the Treefroggers in LA are missing in action as those of us who are not in LA are waiting with baited breath to see the next photos. I even looked at Carlos's thread from last year thinking it was this year.

How about less drinking and having a good time with a bunch of great guys and some more posting !!! Even if only to tell us you are having a good time. Otherwise I will have the read the London show threads and that is still three weeks away !!

In the meantime how about somebody asking Andy where the wooden benches in the WWII diorama come from ? Anybody know ?

Plus don't forget to ask Andy if he is going ahead with my idea for the Life of Jesus figures for the complete feeding of the 5,000 diorama (on a 50 year installment plan).

Regards
Brett

Since in the diorama with the new glossy Ludhiana Sikhs figures, the Skinner's Horse Lancers are also shown in glossy finish, could someone confirm wether in the future they will be offered both matte and glossy as well, or were they just prepared that way for the diorama?
Thanks for any info.

Treefroggers!

Westcoaster is pretty cool!

To answer a question - the K&C Indian Army is gloss or matte, your choice, but.......can you honestly want them in matte!!!! Seriously, gloss is well done and they look great! I would bet on the possibility of a very large range.........................

K&C WW1 warbirds, polystone and other mediums - wire, metal, resin. Good weight and great detail.

The Hanger - yes very cool, a very nice diorama.

Figarti - great things are coming..........................

CS- the 88 is pretty cool along with the Patton Command car.

Bargains..........on some oldies galore. When I get home, will post some pics.

People - great group of folks out here on the coast. Louis and Brad, you gotta get here.

Until tomorrow,
TD
