Westcoaster 2011 day 1 (1 Viewer)

Treefroggers!

Westcoaster is pretty cool!

To answer a question - the K&C Indian Army is gloss or matte, your choice, but.......can you honestly want them in matte!!!! Seriously, gloss is well done and they look great! I would bet on the possibility of a very large range.........................

K&C WW1 warbirds, polystone and other mediums - wire, metal, resin. Good weight and great detail.

The Hanger - yes very cool, a very nice diorama.

Figarti - great things are coming..........................

CS- the 88 is pretty cool along with the Patton Command car.

Bargains..........on some oldies galore. When I get home, will post some pics.

People - great group of folks out here on the coast. Louis and Brad, you gotta get here.

Until tomorrow,
TD

Tom,

What's coming from Figarti?.

Rob

Thanks for the report, Tom. Glad to know that the WW1 aircraft are polystone. Must have some reasonable weight to them. They look great in the photos. -- Al

Tom,

Glad to see you're having a good time. Will have to get there one of those years.

Say hello to Andy, Howard, Carlos and Nancy and everybody else out there.

See you in April.

Sorry Tom, in my excitement I forgot to say thanks for the report...thanks for the report Tom!^&grin:salute::

Have fun

Rob

Tom,

Great report! ^&cool^&cool I already told Hans that when he goes back to the Westcoaster 2 years from now, I'm going too! :salute::

How about posting a photo of the Heco Tinplate Spad Hans bought for me? :wink2:

I was expecting more pictures by now. Does this show work similar to chicago with room trading etc??
Mitch

Yes, I think they have a couple of days of room trading. Perhaps K & C is not announcing anything else. However, we haven't heard from Figarti yet. I'm not sure if the other manufacturers make product announcements at the West Coaster.

I'm sure as in the pass we'll have are wishes filled with photos.:smile2::smile2:

Is that hanger going to be a scenic that's released? It would be a nice addition to the RAf am LW line.

The WWI planes look nice, ESP next to the Kaiser staff
Car. First time I've considered the latter.

With releases like this on a monthly basis, is there any question why K&C is always the one to beat? the quality, originality and breadth of coverage simply cannot be competed with.... by anyone!!!

Are we waiting for Rick to announce what's coming up . . ^&confuse

I never thought K&C would go back to gloss in any significant way.

If K&C starts a whole new range with the option of either gloss or matte, this may be a watershed in time.

Please bring on more pictures of the show.

Cheers, Raymond:)

PS: I am not sure who is the gentleman between Andy and Howard. Can someone please help me ID. :redface2:

I am getting the feeling the guys in LA are having a very good time since more info a long time coming. No pressure guys but the world is eagerly awaiting the news, rumours and gossip (any truth in the story on TZM that Paris and Charlie are at the show ?!)

Regards
Brett

Raymond,

That's Chris Monroe, one of the early K&C dealers, and the gentleman who makes those incredible "Sand Pebble" Boats.

Is the West Coast Show really . . THIS... boring :redface2:

I think everybody is having a blast and no time for anything else but the show, the friends and the Toy Soldiers.
Pretty sure we will all get to hear about any news in due time.
Konrad

Guys,
I am sorry for the lack of photos but am having camera to laptop problems. The other guys who have been taking photos said they will posting photos on their return to their homes on Sunday night or Monday.
