At first, only 10 of the AFVs were produced and the first 6 went to a single unit - the other 4 stayed in reserve. The gun went to Poland in 1939 and France 1940 and took part in Barbarossa in 1942 with the last 3 destroyed in Russia in early 1943. however, as many as 25 may have been built with 4 going to a second unit and some reportedly going to Italy. So it's hard to tell if the early 1943 date is accurate - I think it is. I have the model and the only complaint is that most if not all of the guns that were in France and Barbarossa were grey and not 3 colour camo.

Just seen this, I recieved one through the post today as the collector had droped it and broke a little bit. He already wanted it grey so, there are some pics in the repiar section now and, will be repainting grey in the next few days.

Glad you are getting this done in grey, it will look even more sinister, and that it was painted in that colour, so will fit in nicely with the earlier campaigns.
