As much as I like T Gunn figures, I,ve had it with them. I informed my dealer to cancel all pre orders. The last three Gunn orders arrived damaged. The latest order I received today. The first box I opened the figures were out of their foam cutouts and looked as if they rolled around in the box, luckily no damage, but these two figures didn,t really have any finer features. Not so with the second box, again both figures out of their cutouts but this one the rifle and bayonet were terribly bent with a big paint chip, even the plastic straw to protect the rifle was crushed.
My dealer has always offered to replace them but it is just not worth the agrevation time after time.
It should be enjoyable to receive and open a package, not a source for anger.

That,s weird because i have nearly every TGM piece made and they travel along way to Australia and i never once have had a damaged piece,yeah i know what you mean tho like i said its along way to here and i wait along time for things to arrive and its annoying when damaged,contact TGM he will help you out.

I had that same problem in the begining, figures rolling around, severely bent rifles and broken bayonets. Told TGM about it, who replaced the damaged figures and haven't had a problem since. Keep at it. IMO, TGM produces the best figures around for the money. I don't want you to lose out. I'm waiting to see a tank or halftrack from them.

I feel your pain gk5717. This type of thing can get very annoying when happening on a regular basis.{eek3}

Does the dealer inspect them before delivery and not re-pack them correctly,not having ago at dealers just a thought??

Same problem in the beginning for me with three consecutive TGM Normandy version German Pak guns arriving FUBAR-never was able to add one to the collection. Since those early sets, nothing but success. On another note, my set of four glossy WW II K&C RAF pilots and two Luftwaffe pilots arrived the other day as "one" if you know what I mean as they all came out of their slots and were subsequently all badly damaged-what a sad day when you are looking so forward to a special set-so back they went. I also had the same problem with CS in the earlier days with arms coming off and broken bayonets to boot; some issues with Figarti way back; and even K&C with the Chaffee and their latest Winter Flak Gun. In short, everyone has their issues that seem to go in spurts. My recent issues have been with some eBay sellers simply not packing items properly. Enough of my rambling, off to dream about the Figarti Owl & K&C RAF Fuel bowser!

Never had a similar problem with TG{sm4} or any other manufacturer for that matter;

I had a problem with last marching Berlin '38 Fallschirmjäger that TG produced. Bayonets were broken or badly bent. Brett had no problem replacing. This has been my only problem with TG.

My problem is not that breakages happen and I wont get my money back. But I wanted 3 sets of them and now only have 2 sets because I can't get any replacements through Brett because of TGs limited production.

I know I can buy more on eBay or from elsewhere but I'm not prepared to buy this particular set because I fear breakages in the mail - they were poorly boxed from my experience and I wont take the risk.

I have had no such problems. I have seen two pieces where parts had come loose, not enough glue but, easily fixed. While such things do happen and, are very annoying when you pay money I would say its down to dealers to check sets before they go out. If they do this then there is no collector who gets a broken set... simple. Why cancel all pre orders? its not TG fault ask the dealer to check your orders first and then you get what you have paid for.

Could it be that these problems come from customs inspection?

gary, have you been living right, maybe it's just bad karma

All 6 sets have arrived safely for me, well packed in their boxes. Getting a heap more TG in the next month, will post if any issues. Cheers, Robin.

Several of the TG sets I have ordered have arrived damaged as well, and I'm talking significant damage....not just a simple gluing operation. And having the dealer inspect them prior to shipping, although a very good damage preventative practice, it is no guarantee they will reach their ultimate destination in one piece.

I think its very important for a dealer to check. In that scenario we then know that they have travelled from TG to dealer fine or not we then know it was the post from dealer to collector which caused the damage rather, than pile in on the manufacturer.

This thought that customs causes the damage may be a fact but, I also know that customs do not open every single box that comes in to the countrysome random samples do many don't.

If a dealer opens and checks sets he knows the condition before going to collector. Nobody is stupid enough to send a broken set out to a collector (I hope) and, it would help in this tracing where the damage comes from

I know what your going through, ive had the same problem but they always get replaced. its just a real downer when your looking forward to getting something and it arrives broken. i nearly gave up with k&c last year over this but, i only go through my dealer now and not direct.

Ok, let's solve the mystery and reveal who the dealer is, it is none other than myself.

Mitch, just to ease your mind I can assure you I inspect each and every item prior to shipping, and no Mitch, I would never send a damaged figure out to a customer, nor would any other dealer.

Gary has had issues with TGM sets in the past, so I am extra sensative to this but to no avail, the damage is happening in transit.

i hope this puts your mind at ease now.

My mind was never at anything other than ease with this matter and, I could not have been less interested in who the dealer was.

Nor, did I ask, or see anyone else doing so. I was premising on the fact that TG are getting blamed or losing orders from customers. If they are checked before dispatch at say HK and arrive at a dealer who checks for damage and none is apparent but, arrives at the collectors damaged then its an internal postal issue to blame, not TG. The post made out IMO or from the way I interpreted it that the collector was giving up on TG because of this. Many people get broken sets from all manufacturers many do not simple.

Nobody mentioned you or your shop so can't reason why your here defending yourself or making out you are solving a mystery that never existed, when no accusation was laid at your door. Seems to have come from yourself none else!!!!!
