I thought you might like to know that Yeomanry Miniatures now have their 1904 Rolls Royce Staff Car in production. There will be a few at the London Toy Soldier Show on 25th June and orders can be placed now.

The car and occupants comprising of Driver, 2 Staff Officers and a General Officer retails at £119.95 painted and £69.95 as a kit of parts, for all of you who prefer to do your own thing.

I enclose some pictures of the finished article.

See you at the show.

If I want to order one painted to be shipped to the United States, is that possible?:smile2:

Brian,

its nice to see the painted car and occupants, as it looked good in the recent Toy Soldier Collector magazine.

The poses of the general leaning forward, and the officer turning around is very realistic and you have done well with this one.

Looking forward to seeing more of your work on this Forum too.

regards,

John

Hi Louis,
I already have an order to send one to Brazil so I don't see that the United States is going to be a problem.

That is a lovely Toy Soldier Set with great poses.
Looking forward, Brian, to see some pics of your available items at the upcoming London Show.

reminds me of toy army workshop. did you sculpt for them? really nice set.

Yeomanry Miniatures figures are sculpted by Alan Caton, who also sculpted for Toy Army Workshop and also sculpts for many other manufacturers including Asset, Tradition and Mountford to name but a few.

Brian.

Alan Caton is a very talented sculptor and a long time supplier of a multitude of traditional toy soldier mfrs.
I like his work a lot as can be seen in my British Empire albums, since all of the figures, with the exception of maybe one or two, are his sculpts.

great to see that he's still making sets like what he did for TAW. Especially after seeing the butcher job of that other guy who bought their tooling.

I thought all you treefroggers might like to see another set produced by Yeomanry Miniatures. This is set AL-23 The Lovat Scouts Signal Set Part 1 and comprises aseated Officer with telescope, a kneeling Trooper with notepad and pencil, a second Trooper with heliograph and a third Trooper with signal flags. The set is available painted at £84.95 and as a set of castings at £47.95. Castings come with seperate bases to allow the figures to be mounted on a scenic base if the modeller so wishes. In fact the picture shows the seated figure without it's base. Enjoy.

Hi Brian - thanks for posting the pictures of the Lovat Scouts Signallers - this will be very useful for me as a painting guide in the future. I have just recently found the way to "save as" - then give the picture a name - and store it on my computer in a folder called "Yeoman".

Thanks for those they are lovely - and also any others you might care to post - as I will save them for future orders.^&grin

Hello,
Your sets are great. Do you have a website, or catalog that I can view your available sets to purchase from the USA?

Brian,

I love the Lovat Scout signallers, I think they could easily lead to a number of similar sets, using different heads such as caps. slouch hats and helemets.

With the demise of TAW, I sure think that you can fill that slot, so please keep us informed of your new figures, and your forthcoming website, so that collectors worldwide can easily obtain them.

John

By the way, I recently painted a custom made set for Martin in UK, using some spare ACW Imrie/Risley & Shenandoah parts I have and a couple of your Yeomanry Miniatures standing horses and they fitted in well with this era, as seen below.

The figures look great! If you start making armored cars, tanks, ambulances and trucks like Toy Army Workshop did, I'm in . . .

Hi Brian,

John is straight on the point....count on your great sets to keep us increasing our Regiments......
As you build sets and just before shipping them to the final owners, please consider posting photos so that we can all enjoy...and who know´s spark the wish to have one also....
You can start with mine.......!
Great that you have added the Signaler´s set.....for sure I will consider a set in the future ( using pith helmets for sure....).

Keep it up, great job.

Hi Gideon,

The catch is that if you check the Fleurbaix thread, there is a recent note that the guy is back........
Gee....not sure what " cuts are in offering ".........^&grin:rolleyes2:
