The Anglo Zulu War- special commissions (2 Viewers)

2nd Battalion, 3rd Regiment of Foot (The Buffs)

At the time of placing my order Len released ZS43 “THE RELOADING SET” which consisted of 3 Privates standing reloading, 2 Privates kneeling reloading and an Officer loading his pistol, these came just in time for me to add to my order. I ordered 6 of each Privates standing and kneeling and 1 Officer for the Command set

Wonderful figures, Martyn

Thank you for posting their pictures.. I wonder what other peoples special Trophy " fantasies"
could be at the time? Len should remember what the most unusual special sets were ordered :)

I am glad that Mike Norris does the same with his "special" orders.

I would personally order as many KRRC sets in their beutiful green uniforms as I could: sadly
Trophy did not make many of them :rolleyes2:

Great pictures, Martyn

I wonder if any other British regiments participated in this battle have been made by Trophy:

57th Regiment (The Die Hards) : later the Middlesex Regiment and now the Princess of Wales’s Royal Regiment.
91st Highlanders: now the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders.
99th Regiment ("Queen's Pets"): later the Wiltshire Regiment and now the Royal Gloucestershire, Berkshire and Wiltshire Regiment.

Great sets Martyn and a testament to just how fantastic Len Taylor was and to how collector friendly the glossy manufacturers were and in many ways still are.

Martyn: Terrific sets! Do you know if Len made any sets for any other collectors? Thanks so much for making these available for viewing.

Many thanks Tommy. I would think there are other collectors out there with some great specials, I would obviously include those lovely Indian Mutiny Highlander sets:salute::
