So guys, what next on your K&C list? I find myself at a crossroads right now in that there are lots of routes for me to take but which first? There are all the new RAF Typhoon crew I need, there are still two Bulge sets I very much want which are the artillery add on crew set and the Stretcher party and I still haven't touched the US Normandy troops embarking on their landing craft yet. So any of you decidng which route to take next???

Rob

Today is Dutch kc club day and i pick up raf 36 flight sergeant .
but for some members i pick up the albatros and i can say {bravo}.
at this time it is one figuur at the two mouths no tanks and vehicles .

richard .

Sorry to say Rob I won't be buying anything now as it just got to expensive a hobby . For the price of the typhoon I could have a week away in France on a war tour or a pc3 with about three game so I know where are be spending my money. The hobby lost the plot just check eBay and see what the stuff going for!

Same plan as before made much easier as I do not collect 1/30 scale aircraft or the related figures and diorama pieces. Still get the occasional WWII AFV and slowly adding to the NAP and Sons of The Empire collection.

Good for you Rob

You're spoilt for choice as you and the other WWII collectors get new releases practically every month. Where as I am that rare bird-an ACW collector- and if I had stuck with just K&C....well half a dozen releases in as many years. Hell! I'd be hard pushed to put a whole platoon of Rebs & Yankees together :) Consider yourself very fortunate old friend.

However, with the above scenario I don't have to juggle the budget like you guys have to every month on what you buy and what you pass on.

Very true Bob, we are spoilt for choice in the WW2 era. Am hoping that the new year will also see me able to branch out into that other conflict I've an interest in..whats the name of it now mate...oh you know..happened in the States, North v South sort of thing...:wink2:

I just started collecting ancient Egypt a few months ago. I have about 15 sets now. I am tracking down older pieces while there is some chance of finding a great deal. Buying from outside US more to find deals. Planning to finally get the RAF MG and a few more RAF figures. Just got the Baron figure to go with my JJD plane. Have pre-ordered the new Ike see and the RAF Morris truck.

I can understand that CFM, the Egyptian line is really good and very interesting.

On the dio front I find myself gathering materials for three seperate scenes, one Battle of Britain, one Bulge and one for a little something I hope may be showcased in Chicago.

My basic K&C plan is complicated by the fact I want EVERYTHING!!! {eek3} I too am still very passionate about this old hobby of ours despite everything the negative folk persist in discussing. Cost certainly limits the number of pieces I get.........but it hasn't stopped me from getting the odd piece here and there. Typically I pick up things on the retired lists and/or limited release items that I want and this works pretty well in slowing down my purchases. There are still a ton of items out there I intend to pick up. I've narrowed down my areas that I collect in great numbers but I still dabble everywhere a little bit. Areas of focus continue to be figures first then AFV's, planes etc. The main era's are MG, D-Day ( esp Commonwealth ), WS ( Normandy SS ), BOB, RAF, Crusaders/Saracens and Napoleonics. Within the K&C world I'll likely dabble into the Ancient Greek lineup, glossy Sons of the Empire and perhaps WWI planes.

Most recently I picked up some French Dragoons, the limited release RAF Fuel Bowser and have preordered the new Eisenhower SL. As always I'm looking forward to the future releases to add to my areas of focus and the odd surprise here and there. Hopefully we get some more MG pieces soon and that new Battle of Britain Me-109 has got me really excited.

I stick with the BOB and the Normandy campaigns. Although I cannot buy every figure that comes on the market , I keep collecting the pieces that appeal to me at first glance ;I collect less than before but I keep collecting.
At the moment I am waiting for the arrival of WS117, armored jeep + scout.
guy:)

My collection is made up of 95% K&C but I have bought 95% of goods from other companies this year. My reason for this is just that other companies are making more of what I am interested in at the moment. Simmo.

Just ordered the 8th army band, now i am looking at the normandy hitler youth and the rest of the tommie sets i need. Planes have bogged me down but i cannot buy all the planes becuase of room. Still need a couple of crusader sets. We will see what chicago brings

Still catching up on AK items and waiting to see if Andy is evenb going to do more with AWI. -- Larry

Good question Rob i don't have a plan just let it happen as ive found out from month to month my plan gets changed but im leaning towards non-action figures as they make better Dio,s IMO........

Rob

I have my route mapped out....

It starts at the Pyramids in 1799 and finish in Waterloo in 1815!

And all all roads in between :)

I still have a lot of NAPs to get, mainly the recent ones, but would love some of the early figures, such as the Voltiguers and mounted Dragoon, so I'm keeping a lookout posted for any 'strays' wanting a good home 'down under.

ME TOO, That armored jeep is Killer!!! and the scout that goes with will look cool. And cant wait for the
rest of the new BOB sets due in October.

I stop buying K&C items nowaday due to higher price with no improvement in quality. I spend my money on CS ( WW2 only) as pricing is still reasonable.
I'm going to move to First Legion for the Samurai series.
