Thanks Wayne. I love your dio and the blending of TG, Figarti & KC. Looks like the color tone of JJ is deep enough not washed out as I see from the the Treefrog catalog. The top view photo you sent are both BF109E? Looks like the KC version is slightly bigger and the wing shape is different. The KC BF 109 is from the AK series right? Does the JJ canopy open and close?
Thanks

Awesome collection Wayne & nice Bf109e. Your collection seems to go on and on and on!!!!!! ^&grin
I don't collect any aircraft but i can appreciate a great looking aircraft from any manufacturer.
I am just wondering, but have you got Werner Molder’s Messerschmitt Bf109 “Emil” LW044 or planning to get Franz von Werra’s Me 109 LW045? It would be interesting to see both of them with the JG Me109.
Tom
Hi N-P. The KC AK Bf-109 is the F model while the JJD 109 is the E. The F was a little longer, with rounded wingtips, while the E had squared off wing tips. There are also other differences, including the armament. -- AlThanks Wayne. I love your dio and the blending of TG, Figarti & KC. The 3 main 109s were the 109E, 109F and the most produced 109G.
The E had square wingtips and was the last model to have guns/cannon inside the wings. It fought with the Condor Legion near the end of the Spanish Civil War. It was the main German fighter in the Battle of Britain and obsolete by early 1941.
The F model has a completely redesigned wing with rounded wingtips and a more powerful engine. The armament of 2 MG and a 20mm cannon were located in the fuselage with no guns on the wings. There were some at the end of the Battle of Britain and it was the main 109 until mid-1941 when it was replaced by the more powerful heavily armed versions of the 109G. The G had rounded wingtips and pod mounted 20mm under the wings.

Can`t wait to see how it looks side by side with K&C`s ME 109 "Emil", size, hight, etc... I do hope they have a perfect match, because that could produce a superb Northern France Luftwaffe field dio.
