The Anglo Zulu War- special commissions (1 Viewer)

:salute:::salute::
It has been awhile since I started this thread and I thought it about time some new sets should be added;)

Here is set# EQ38 – OXEN DRAWN SUPPLY WAGON

From what I can gather the set was ordered by the Belgian Toy Soldier Museum, I was lucky enough to purchase this from Jean Claude

The original EQ38 set had 2 oxen, 1 native and 5 soldiers

I will add a couple of sets that started life in the WW1 series shortly

I agree Martyn it was about time you returned to the Land of The Zulus and I'm so glad that you have. Another Gem added to your Trophy Treasure Chest.:salute:::salute::

Very cool set! Belgian TS Museum? Belgium is one of my favorite countries, and I have never heard of this....!

Many thanks Joe, and you are absolutely right there is no way I can ignore my Zulu roots with the 133rd Anniversary almost here :salute::

Here is set# EQ63 - FIELD KITCHEN ON THE MARCH

EQ63.jpg

I can't find this set listed in any of my Trophy catalogues as being available to buy in the AZW series, but it does appear in the WW1 range with a rider in WW1 khaki uniform, obviously^&grin.

I found it at MKL a couple of years ago in it's original box with the label listing it as "THE ZULU WAR - Set# EQ63 - FIELD KITCHEN ON THE MARCH" so I grabbed it ;):D

Here is another set with a WW1 heritage

Set# EQ62 - GENERAL SERVICE WAGON with supplies

EQ62.jpg

This is the AZW/BOER WAR version with Naval Brigade rating and his dog, I don't think the dog likes his picture taken, he appears to have his tongue out^&grin

thanks for posting these great pictures of these three sets. And it looks like they are later released pieces from looking at the skin tone. Very impressive.

Many thanks Gary, Michael and Scott :salute::

Martyn,

Just scrolled through this thread, to see what I have missed as I have not been on much as of late. The special sets are great I really enjoy seeing them. I especially enjoyed seeing the the special order oxen wagon set. The Wagon sets and Field kitchen and camplife scenes are my favorite sets. Did you commission any special camplife sets?

Keep them coming,
Brian

I didn't commision any special campfire sets but was very pleased to find the TD2 - REVEILLE set several years ago

Cheers

Very nice sets
Awsome display at the Belgian museum
Zoulouland i have that set of books
18 books in French

Many thanks MapleLeaf

Unfortunately I believe the Trophy AZW display is no longer at the Belgian Museum, I think all the Trophy AZW figures were sold over the last couple of years at the London Show.

Cheers

Martyn:)
