They both have their own style and enjoy collecting both AWSOME WORK !!!! IMO KC has more
character in their item's and better figures.

That's the K&C style and I don't see it changing anytime soon. The tank has less detail than the coming 1942 model from FL, but it captures the main elements of a 1943 model T-34 and it is $100 cheaper. So there is a choice to be made on detail vs price if you want a T-34/76. Even if Figarti makes a T-34/76, it may be a 1942 or earlier model which looks different. From the photo of the T-34/85 by Figarti, it looks like the top of the tracks aren't detailed through to the hull as is the case for the JS-2 and JSU-152, so their tracks aren't perfect either.

However, that said, I would prefer cleaner more detailed tracks from K&C. I'm just worried what the price would go up to.

Terry

Terry I agree just wish they were cleaner and think it the kc way but it not my cup of tea, just look poor on a £200.00 tank and would expect better for the money

After seeing the Figarti T34 can't Belive how bad the tracks on the k&C are for the money , very poor . Sorry but it has to be said

gotta lend a voice of support for K&C on this one. As per Terry, it's a style issue & I think mud on tank tracks looks pretty good. It's supposed to be in a field remember, not in a museum. One of the highlights of the T-34 was how well it handled in mud

It just my opinion and are think are leave it at that don't won't to get into my T34 better than your

Well cobber I have been waiting for ya on the Eastern Front for 2 years now!!:), all jok'n, this looks like a very nice release for K&C, love the greys...Sammy

See ya there Sammy...................^&grin

Interesting release and, interesting to see it as a 3rd SS Totenkopf release.
Mitch

It is interesting, KC never gives them much love, but how can you go east without TK? I'm hoping this paves the way for some TK infantry.

I agree more TK would be good. They fought long and hard and as you say an eastern front campaign is not filled without them

It's more than the mud that detracts from the tracks IMO. The overall thickness of the track itself is not correctly proportioned. This is a factor of the materiel used which isn't ideal for thin structures.

True. Thicker tracks and mud for strength and less damage on moulding and shipping.

Love the finish on the tank, it reminds me of the Firefly that also has an excellent finish to it.

Frank I would of thought the Figarti T34 is made of the same material ^&confuse

I have repaired seven figarti AFV's for people with broken tracks this year alone. some from accidents and some from transport and recieved broken. I have not had to repair one K&C. does not mean they don't break but, K&C do what they do to diminish damage. We may not like it but, I am sure it would be worse having broken sets

Interesting discussion on this topic. K&C has always had the "mud" thing with their AFV tracks I would guess due to a strength issue and not because it was there to look good, because I agree on most of it doesn't look good. They have gotten better at it lately though as is evidenced by the Cromwell and other recent tanks, but the new T-34 looks to have more "mud" than the Cromwell. Maybe this is on purpose to create the dirty field look. For reference here are some pictures of 4 tanks, a early K&C Desert Vickers with completely "closed in" mud look (which doesn't look good at all to me, but I love the little tank anyway), a Honour Bound Winter Panther (which they did an awesome job on the wheels/tracks) and a Figarti Winter Sherman also with excellent wheel/track detail. I personally prefer clean crisp detail like this Figarti and Honour Bound example.
