Hi Guys, hi Ludwig,

Welcome to the Forum…

Hope you will enjoy – there’s a lot of good guys here with plenty of expert knowledge to share…

Now, about the upcoming Texas show…

1.Nick & Deanne Versteeg of “Toy Soldiers of San Diego” originally set up and ran all of the previous shows. Due to some serious health issues Nick had to step down from running the show and talked to Laura Johnson (K&C’s Co Founder) and yours truly about taking over… which we did.

2.There’s a whole bunch of great dealers and manufacturers taking part including Richard Walker of Britains… Brian from Collector’s Showcase, our friends Figarti and other leading lights in both the plastic and metal fields. Both Helen (K&C’s Managing Director) and me will be at the show. Gordon is staying in HK to help relocate the K&C Workshop and recruit some additional diorama builders.
There will be a range of Gordon’s work on show alongwith some “Sneak Peeks” and a special new KINGS X exclusive figure.
But I don’t want to give everything away… come along and see for yourself. All are welcome. Remember too there’s the Toy Soldier Symposium on Saturday evening with Richard of Britains… Gary Foreman, Military & History Documentary Film Maker and Nick from Toy Soldiers of San Diego plus … me (from you know where).
All in all I think it will be a great Memorial Day Weekend. Hope to see and talk with quite a few of you guys there.
In the meantime… here’s a little dio Gordon did to show off the “new” Normandy Garage – Hope you like it!

Best wishes and happy collecting.

That's a really good looking dio Andy and Gordon. The Garage is a great looking piece.

That is a nice bit of work by Gordon as are all his efforts, Andy. I am looking forward to the Aussie dinner in July, will be a great evening I'm sure.
Wayne.

Give Gordon a cigar Andy, awesome work! I too am looking forward to the dinner in Brissy.

Tom

Outstanding!! Looks like with KC running the show it is going to be a mini Chicago show. Perhaps in the future we can have a show figure like Chicago and the West Coaster!! It is only three weekend's away!! I will be there and look forward to visiting with all.

Ludwig

That garage is a wonderful piece and a must have for me. Gordon's dio, as usual, looks superb! Hope the San Antonio gathering rocks, and please post a lot of pics for us who can't make it see all the action!

Nice looking dio Gordon made there. There are a few refugees on the street that I have never seen before and where do the old petrol pumps come from ???
please take a lot of pictures, anyone going there so that we, far away from the action, can also enjoy the sneek peak, the new releases and the specially made new dios;
Thanks
Guy

Andy N,

Thanks for your post and addressing me!!

I am looking so forward to the show. There is rumor that the new "delicioso" Fokker aircraft will be available at the time of the show. Can you confirm!! I am waiting with baited breathe and the suspense is killing me!! I also need to know how much money I need to withdraw (I mean take from Mums purse!!) Kidding of course. I am very happy that you have been able to keep these planes so affordable. A steal at 199.00 in my book!! I am going to hang these via 20-lb test fishing line from the ceiling in my office. There is only one problem.....? Where are the British and French planes to go with? Lafayette Escadrille; William Avery (Billy) Bishop in his SE5A, how about Rene Fonck with his six victory a day repeat, yes anyone...? As my Von Richthofen leading the dog fight will need someone to shoot at (down) of course. For now it will have to be ground forces on the top shelves!!

Anyway the display pictured from Gordon is great as always. I really like the two different approaches. Many of my own display ideas were jump started by Gordon's work.

This is going to be like a mini-Chicago Show. Where's my dinner figure!!

Take care and see you at the show!!!

Crazy (for toy soldiers) Ludwig!!

Do any gas pumps come with this andy, or are they an add on for later?

Hi Guys,
Just wanted to add to Andy's words on the upcoming Texas Toy Soldier Show, the new exclusive figure mentioned is going to be the Texas Toy Soldier Show figure. The plan is for every year of the show we will release a Texas Show figure that has a connection to Texas history.
Also if you attend the dinner/symposium on Saturday night(May 26th 2012) you will receive a special(surprise) figure which will also have a Texas connection.
The last day to book at the Menger under the special Texas Toy Soldier Show rate is the 14th of May. The rate is $125.00 a night and includes 2 breakfast buffets(double occupancy), free parking and no taxes!!!
We still have a few seats left for the dinner and it looks to be a great time down here in old San Antone!!!
See y'all soon!!!
Best Regards

Gerhard my apologies for not responding previously. I have only just noted that you addressed me on this thread. Yes I speak German and will be more then happy to meet and visit with you in German!

The show is weekend after next!! It will surely be a good one. The way Andy and Martin have it looking, this show could possible become the third best show in the USA soon.

I will see you there.

Ludwig!

Do not forget the Texas Toy Soldier show is less then two weeks away!!

Come one...come all!!

Ludwig!
