Here are some pic's of the new LH and ME releases. The ME range are of the Lanc Fusiliers at Beersheba. If your wondering about the missing barrel on the Officer's pistol, apparently it broke off during shipping to Brisbane.

Tom, thanks for the pics and it was great to finally meet you and the other new(ish) guys in person.

Thanks Tom, at last they are real, the horse on the ground could be a scene I could duplicate in person as my 30 year old horse is on his last legs and my old friend may have to put down soon. Had him since he was 4 years old, one of the family named RADAR. Hopefully we see some of these releases later this year, thanks for posting, can finally go to bed now, cheers, Robin.

Tom,onya mate, next time I will remember to bring my camera... some of K&C's best yet, the painted and finished figures will be brilliant....{bravo}}
Wayne.

Tom

Just beautiful sculpts. The camel corps looks just grand.

Thanks for posting them.

And a couple more pic's

Tom

This one is quite touching. Imagine losing your best buddy Horse that trained with you and became your closest friend. Could not be easy.

Andy mentioned the next release, NOV/DEC, will be the 2 mounted AL and foot AL's. Then would be the Camel Corps in perhaps April.
The British Infantry are a new WWI series, Middle East, and no release period yet.

Even more wonderful figures from K&C

Well done to Andy and the team....

Keep up the great work, especaily on the Camels :)

John

Well done K&C these figures look great! I cannot wait to see them when they are painted and ready for release!

not my era or area of interest but, the fallen horse and rider is very provocative and captures the relationship between man and horse in war rather well

I agree Mitch. The guys who will/did not buy AL 06 becuase the horse is dead are going to like this one.

Oh my! Just seen the new Brit figs for ME for first time, they look superb, I do believe I'm going to get these. I never got any of the Western Front releases because I have a large Toy Army Workshop collection, but I have none for the ME....that's going to change!^&cool

And the new LH look terrific too, again I have none of these but it is a fine range.

Thanks for posting Tom, all pics and info from our Australian members is much appreciated.

Rob

WWI and ALH really aren't my area of interest to be sure but I just had to say that figure of a soldier comforting his fallen steed is really magnificient........obviously Andy has been inspired by the film WAR HORSE. A very emotional and poignant sculpt. I think it really captures the deep bond between man and horse..........ofcourse others might say he's been at the front too long without a woman! ;)

WW1 is definitely my thing. WB are considering Gallipoli (I believe nearer 2015 for the centenary) but the ALH range is my favourite and these new foot and mounted poses are magnificent. As for the ME figures, it's just the best news as that is where my Great Grandfather fought and to have this conflict portrayed is beyond my wildest dreams. I will be a fully paid up member of this range. Can't wait and thanks for the brilliant pics.

Tom mate,
Good onya cobber. Great thread. Great pictures.

Gentlemen,
I must compliement Andy for expanding this era into the new ME range. I am sure a lot of collectors around the world would not be History students of this particular battle. Everyone seems to think that the Aussie Lighthorse charge was the be all and end all of that battle but you would be wrong. True the Charge of the 4th and 12th LH Regiments was magnificent but attacking on the northern side were the New Zealand LH (our ANZAC mates) and to the west of Beersheeba, two English Infantry Divisions were attacking (hence the new ME range). This has been depicted by the Lancastershire Fusilers but also a battalion of a very famous Regiment the Black Watch were also present. I would love to see these boys depicted in this series. Kilts, pipes and all.
Andy also mention artillery for this range. The Notts battery (Nottingham) was probably the most well known in the Charge at Beersheeba as this was the battery in close support and were able with outstanding British accuracy knock out the Turkish machine gun positions which could have reked many more casulties on the charging LH men. Rule Britannia.
The next few years of collecting are going to keep me broke.
Cheers Howard

This series just seems to be going from strength to strength. Was there any mention of a WW1 Rolls Royce Armoured Car in the future?

cheers

I will wait to be corrected - for I might have dreamt it - but there was some mention, but I cannot remember if it was speculation or confirmation. Wayne? Howard?
