t t tiger.jpgJust an idear for the Big Boys...an intermediate tank...smaller...lighter...less detailed..etc...to bulk out dioramas for the less well heeled (most of us)...TomB

There are 1:32 diecast tanks on the market that are going for $50-$70 each and have very good detail. You will have to repaint them to fit into your dio. They only cost 1/3 price of regular 1:30 scale tanks from major manufacturer.

Nice try, somehow I don't think it will catch on though!!

There are still numerous Plastic Kits out there at under £50 - that when assembled and painted are very difficult to tell apart from the more expensive metal ones, (unless you pick it up). Dragon/Airfix are just two that spring to mind. Just the job for background features in diaoramas - I would have thought. If scale is not important - I/76 scale models of tanks are often pretty close to £10 or so for kits in plastic. jb

Tom ,

So that's why you were looking for pic's of the Tiger...How long did it take you to do ?

Joe
Took awhile...got it a bit wrong..but I have figured out the measurements a bit better ....do a better job next time....the metal tanks must be HEAVY...my tank is only sculpey and it is reduced all round,,but it still weights a lot...Tomb

Tom ,

I should have known that is what you were up to when you were asking for pictures of a Tiger...
Your Tiger Tank kind of reminds me of Bruce Hebron's Metal Shed tanks...Handmade & Very Artistic !
Really nice to see what you can whip up in such a short time...Mitch was right , you were spot on with the color as well...

The color was a fluke...I mix sculpey together ...sometimes I manage a good color....I hate painting...I only paint if I cant get a sculpey mix ...sort of match....Tom...Ps...Saw the pics of your armored collection...bloody good.

Apologies for the late reply but, Martin cleared it up about the dunkelgelb. Do you always use plastercine or, do you use other mediums?
