I think he did a fine job during the war. Never figured out why he did not remain prime minister after the war ended :rolleyes2:

He probably was going to continue to be the Prime Minister but decided against it after he went on the Prime Minster Forum and found that he was not the right scale compared to members of the House of Lords and House of Commons. Upon reading the forum further he realized that he was too expensive and that he was historically inaccurate. Finally, he found that some people felt that another company manufactured a better version of himself causing endless discourse. It all became too divisive, so for the good of the UK, he decided not to remain Prime Minister.

Because he commited suicide....................{eek3} oh you mean the chubby fella..................^&grin

It might just be me but I find it sad that you have a large collection of Hitler figures. Each to there own of course. But Adolf Hitler as a hero. Simmo.

I starting buying the Hitler figures back when I first came across K&C in 2007 along with everything else WWII
European theater. Bought each one as they were released over the last 5 years. No worshipping, no hero,
Just a part of history.

Amazing result. But I guess the country had been in the front line for five long years and was sick of War, it didn't want a war leader it wanted a peace leader. But Churchill will always be a legend and was recently voted greatest Briton. He stood for freedom.

Wayne, I guess I could have worded it better. Never could figure out why he was voted out of office after the war.
He made a lot of tough decisions and rode out the storm until victory was realised. To be treated that way after the war's end just doesn't seem right to me. I guess the citizens of the time saw things differently.

You have many Hitler figures. Good luck with them . I do have one but I have one of Churchill as well. I prefer the Churchill one better but still only have one. Keep well. Simmo.

Not my area really but was there also a sense that the working class Brits had fought two very costly wars and wanted the Victorian world that Churchill represented swept away once and for all? No reflection on Churchill intended, for he is rightly considered as one of the towering figures of history.

Possible 'thread-jack' but indeed, was there a greater 'Briton' in history??

I think that's a very good point.

Very quick answer as I don't want to drift PA's thread (although Churchill was brought up). Others in the Greatest list were Shakespeare, Nelson, Queen Elizabeth the first etc etc.

Right back to the Adolf's!{sm4}

Latest version is my personal fave of old Adolf
