Jack,

It was a bit of a surprise that Al would not recognise that one so lucky I wished him a great Christmas at the same
time. However no surprise I cant tell the difference. In that case well done your Dad !

You have admitted error!!Its a Christmas miracle far outstripping something as mundane as a virgin birth!!

Surprised you thought it was a Jenkins - I buy all my TS from you, however, Dad will be stoked that it was mis-identified. He made this some years ago and to have it mistaked for a Jenkins - who make some great planes - is flattery indeed.

Hope all is going well with the arrival of that package you mentioned.

Jack

Al,
Keep up ! John Jenkins ACE012.
Have a great Christmas.

Brett, I have been keeping up. I have the JJD Nungesser Nieuport and that is why I don't think the one here is a JJD model. There are several key differences. On the model depicted here, all struts are silver, whereas JJD has brown struts. This model also has a red command pennant aft of the cockpit, on top of the fuselage. JJD's version does not have that. Finally, the Lewis gun is all silver on this model while the JJD Lewis gun is detailed in several colors. The depicted model just doesn't look like the JJD model. I'm betting it might be part of Revell's or AMT's 1/32 line of plastic models. It looks good and I am curious as to it's origins. -- Al

P.S. Brett, I just read the posts immediately preceeding my above reply and hadn't realized that the plane had been established as NOT a JJD model.:redface2: I would still like to know what it is.:wink2: Now, Happy Christmas to all you WW1 airwar fans from down under.:smile2: -- Al

The expected package seems to be proving hard to deliver !

Not sure on that kit but I do know Jack been buying some WWI kits from Wingnuts (WETA) in NZ.

Those are superb kits but far beyond, (at my advanced age), my ability to put together and have it look like anything but a plane crash. I much prefer the outstandingly researched and finished models that JJD offers. That said, whatever that kit is, it is very well done and finished. -- Al
