Could someone tell me the forum's policy on threats issued in pm's?

Thanks

Rob

PMs can be reported an will be dealt with. Just because it is not on the main forum boards does not mean that infractions cannot be handed out.

Thanks Scott, I wasn't aware of that. So would a stream of insults also be dealt with in the same way??

Isn't it accurate to say that any content, in any part of the forum, that threatens or insults someone, should be referred to the moderators?

Prost!

Threats and insults on a Toy Soldier forum?{eek3}:mad:There are some sick people out there.I hope they don't but it wouldn't surprise me if the Reuss's shut this place down.It must be more headaches than it's worth. For those that do that I recommend counseling and getting a life.Cyber bullies what a joke.

I cannot understand why people have to be insulting and threatening on here or on any other forum for that matter. It really goes to show how society is going nowadays. There is nothing wrong with a healthy debate on a subject, product or event but when you have people going on and on about their point of view and anyone that contradicts that point of view is either looked down upon or insulted, it makes the forum unpleasant and not a great place to be. I joined this forum to meet other collectors, learn about products, see great dio's made by collectors and businesses, read about history, events and other topics and make new mates. I am here to have fun and respect other people's opinions and even though i rarely engage in these debates (this is an exception), i do read them, form my own opinion and quite often express my "like" for an opinion. I also find it incredible that someone would consider a "like" for someone else's opinion as "bullying" and it just goes to show that some people just don't get it as far as how to conduct themselves on a public forum.

That's my 10 cents worth on all of this.

Good morning Guys, was just making a general inquiry as to how things are dealt in pms as opposed to on the forum. I wasnt sure if there were rules covering pms is all.

The delete advice would be the way to go in such circumstances

Cheers

Would personal emails telling you how to act and what not to say on this forum be classed as bulling or is this ok.

Cyber bullies exist because they have very small cyber manhoods as well as cyber brains. They also had poor cyber parenting as well. Further more in MHO they need to be cyber kicked in their cyber bottoms. I used to be bullied quite a bit before I filled out. Then miraculously it stopped. Hmm I guess one could say most bullies are cowards and afraid that others will discover their true inadequacies (wow spelled that one correctly without spell check) cyber or otherwise. Any cyber sissies ( oh sorry bullies) can check with me at the WC if they wish to file a formal complaint. Or present their bottoms for kicking.{sm0}

Hopefully, no one else was offended by my soap box standing. Kind of liked this one. LOL

Hi All,

As they say in my kids public schools (USA) No Bullying will be tolerated. That said if you get a nasty gram from someone in the form of a PM Report it and the Administration will deal with it.

Disagreements among men are one thing.......Threats are quite another^&confuse:mad:......and they should not be tolerated under any circumstances....."Delete Them" is a good start.....Perhaps further action is required and necessary in some cases.

Chris mate,
I thought all this matter and been sorted out and settled months ago between you and Person "X". I have seen most of these emails and I think, as a peacemaker in this little arguement, you gave as good as you got. Last time we chatted by email you were going to meet with Person "X" and shake hand and forgive and forget.
Very disappointing that you would now bring this matter up again on a public Forum.

Is it not time to move on? we do not know what these ''threats'' constitute and, on here, what is considered a threat is extensive. I have only seen three members post openly or in PM physical threats of violence so, the likelihood of more seems quite slim as most are capable of debating without such base reaction.

With no offence to Rob this is the second time you have asked this exact question in a short space of time and, the first was answered clearly by the Britfarmer.

From what I have seen everyone is really capable of giving as good as they get!!

Thankfully, dispatches is here soon

Mitch,

You may have read my post a little wrong here or I wrote it wrong. I wasn't asking for a second time I was explaining to those who asked what was happening and that I was just making a general inquiry about how these things are dealt with, as you said Scott explained first time. This is the trouble with forums and not personal interaction is that one cannot sometimes sense the nuances meanings in posts. However I do believe this is a valid point as lies/threats and attempts at intimidation does occur on these forums, I know this from experience. I think its good to know the forum policy on these things and that it won't be tolerated, makes for a happier forum experience.
