KING & COUNTRY Dispatches -- March 2014 (1 Viewer)

Chris ,

I waited up for the dispatches to be posted & watched them all being listed...As I scrolled thru them , I saw the Pz 35t & had to look @ it twice !! I was shocked !!
My old thread from last year has finally been fulfilled !! Both the Czech tanks have now been made...Early blitzkrieg has come to life !! Already got mine on pre-order...

Joe

Joe,

That 35t looks great doesn't it? When I saw it just now, I knew you would probably be all over it. I just pre-ordered mine as well.

Wayne & Duke ,

Yes , I am really excited to see K&C bring the Pzkpfw 35t to life...last year I railed on about the 35t & 38t & it's non-existence in the toy soldier world was IMO really a shame...The thread got a lot of support from all of you , Andy responded with a sneak peak of the Pzkpfw 38t which we all know & love...I thought "Wow" to have the 38t come to life was a dream , I had been wanting one for twenty years...
I never thought it would be followed up by the 35t !! Well , to say I am thrilled about this would be an understatement !!
As everybody knows when Hitler seized control of Czechoslovakia , these two tanks fell into his lap so to say...
I believe , even if some may argue against it...That if Hitler had not acquired these two Czech tank's , he would not have risked open war with Britain & France...These two tanks IMO are at the heart of Blitzkrieg & very important pieces of history...
I just think Andy deserves a kudos for creating both these tanks...As nobody else ever has...Show's K&C has some gut's !!!
It is a little ironic that just a couple of months ago I passed on almost my entire 1/35 AFV modeling collection to my nephew who was quite taken with them...Trying to pass on some of the fun , who know's maybe one day he will want to collect & go to a show !?
But the point was one of those AFV's was a Pzkpfw 35t I had made...Now I got the K&C one on pre-order !!

Joe

a couple of pic's of my old 1/35 pzkpfw 35t...

the German medic/stretcher team isn't getting much love but I think it's a sweet little set...Sammy

Joe,

That's a good looking 1/35 model of the 35t. I still occasionally build some 1/35 kits and I have a 1/35 35t in storage. I may have to pull that kit out and build it soon. Or on the other hand, now that K&C has done one, I might just sell the kit and not build.

Although many of you are excited about the WWII releases, I'm thrilled and surprised with the release of three 3 mounted Saracens for the Crusades range. Since there was a release of Saracens on foot last month, I didn't expect this so soon. A very welcome addition. Very colorful, with dramatic poses. These three mounted figures will be the perfect additions to finish off my Saracen cavalry charging from the gate of their walled city on my Crusades diorama. Thank you King & Country. Now I can retire my mounted Robert the Bruce from his time warp participation in the Third Crusade.

OK Butch, I figure the weather down under today must have been "grey" and overcast!!:)...Sammy

I wish mate it is stinking hot again no rain for 3 months im actually looking forward to winter and some GREY days.

I'm with you Sammy, the stretcher set is my pick of the bunch, but the 35t would be a very close second...{sm4}

Joe,

On my side, I have preordered the 35T, the German medic figures and the Saracens. These are the gems IMHO for this month's dispatch.

Chris ,

That is great my friend...I tried to pre-order the 35t @ 0300 but TreeFrog did not have the announced release's up for pre-order yet ! So when I got up @ 0900 I put the pre-order in...
As you know I am thrilled...the 35t is an iconic blitzkrieg piece that will be highly sought after !

Joe

Another quiet dispatch for me........no complaints. :wink2: Such a wide variety of releases, Alamo, Persians, Saracens, Grey Germans, RAF. The standouts for me are the mounted Saracens ( so colourful ) and the new Persians. I especially like the AG 016 Persian officer, nice piece. For those out there who say K&C only releases commercial products I give you the little known piece for us collectors the Pz. 35(t). Kudos on that release, great news for those really into that era.

As for the retirements I've got to pick up a Volksturm figure and I really like that covered Jeep and the German 222 armoured car.......{sm2} {eek3}. Still anticipating more releases in 2014 for my preferred eras to collect ( D-Day, Arnhem, RAF, Naps etc)
