As I always say Thor arrives with his Russian miniatures and all other toy soldiers tremble. I enjoy a conversation with my good friend Thor about any topic, but nothing more so than when the subject is history where you become immersed in his knowledge and storytelling thereof. The figures are merely the artistic expression of his love of history. I can hold an Aeroart figure in my hand that I bought at a show and it cues the recollection of Thor's synopsis of the particular life story the figure represents. There's nothing like a good story and something like an Aeroart figure to keep it alive.

Superb photos Joe. Did you buy anything?

Btw, I purchased the figure you helped me with :wink2:

Hi Brad,
Thanks! Yes, I purchased a few pieces including the Byzantine infantry guard w/ decorative shield shown amongst these images, and I also got, after much deliberation w/ myself, a beautiful mounted Mongol warrior a full attack mode. I will post a pic of it later this evening. I'm glad you got the figure you had questions about.:) I bet it looks much nicer in person than it did in the pic.

Cheers,
Joe

Brad,

Here's the Mongol warrior I got at the show:

I really like how the horse is in full flight and how the rider is leaning back from the force. It's # PB509.

Got the piece Joe today but I kind of understand why not many were made. Well, it wasn't too expensive so not a huge loss. Try to recoup it on eBay ^&grin

That Mongol Warrior is quite outstanding.

Joe..

More great pics and the pieces you acquired are stunning

Nevermind...I just saw that you've already returned
I emailed thor directly

Hi Brad,
I'm sure you'll be able to get your money back on ebay for the WWII figure. Thanks about the Mongol. I thought long and hard about that piece for two days, and in the end I couldn't leave the show without it.:)

Brad - when you get a chance, post some photos of your new acquisition in the Russian thread. I'd love to see it

I tried to contact Thor and Nikki about that first knight that you posted, Joe. It was a private collector's who asked Thor if he'd could resell it at Thor's table. I guess it sold almost instantaneously. I can see why
